If the creator has removed the free download but it's being offered as a bonus when you buy the remake, then you probably shouldn't distribute it separately, no.

Quote from: DIYDylana on Sun 28/07/2024 11:02:50Hey there I can't seem to find any download link for the original downfall, the archive.org one simply links to the demo.
Someone on here asked for it in 2012 yet nobody responded :c. I wonder if it's included in the remake? I could just buy the remake if the case,  but I was curious precisely because I thought the original was free. Or was it changed to be paid, considering only the demo is up??

edit2: Turns  out it IS included in the remake! Should I upload the original somewhere?

Thanks for notifying. I didn't know the archive version was not the full game.

@Grim - Do you have an opinion on this?
(I figured it's best to ask the creator, as he was active here not long ago.)

We can either make the full old game available through the database, or keep it as it is and post that it's now only available when buying the new version. I'd prefer the first option, but will listen to what Grim says.

I don't think that is what has happened, Snarky. I suspect the old download link pointed to a now non-existant site, and that I or some other database admin have repaired it by linking to the archive, not knowing that this was not the full version. Could be wrong, though, so let's hear from Grim first.

DIYDylana

I'll wait on what the creator has to say then!

I think it's fine as it is - the original Downfall only being available as a free bonus with the Steam version of the remake.

Regards,

-Rem

I'll try to update the info in the database entry to make it reflect this.

@DIYDylana - Thanks for giving notice.

Quote from: tag2015 on Tue 11/06/2024 12:01:23Developer Theo Brochet (aka Rural_walker) https://rural-walker.itch.io/ released several short games which are no longer available on itch.io.

The only one I could find elsewhere is Le Lac https://www.moddb.com/games/le-lac
Dellamorte Dellamore seems to be lost, and I think there are a couple more of which I can't remember the tile.

Does anybody have more info?

@tag2015 The games are back on https://rural-walker.itch.io/  ;-D

Hello, I was looking for the game Vengeance of the Chicken, but I only found one version, impossible to play, because it appears in a very small window. I don't know how to put it in a full window, let's see. If anyone can help, thank you.

I downloaded the game from here: Vengeance of the Chicken

Trying to find a game I have such an incredibly vague memory of. It would've been between 2003 and 2015 that I played it.

This memory is the main character being ensorcelled by the fairy queen and the screen slowly fading to white.  Do nothing and game over.  You need to Use Knife On Self which makes you cut your hand which breaks the spell and the game continues.

At first I thought it was Dragonsphere (commercial game) but that wasn't the case.  My memory is that it's the same style though, colourful, fantasy, semi-realistic sprites like KQ5-6 and QFG3-4. I played a lot of AGS games after university so I'm almost 100% certain it's in the archive somewhere, I just can't remember enough about it to search.

Does ALT+ENTER work? This toggles full screen and window, although I'm not certain it works on the older versions of AGS. @gabriel19681_1

Thanks Heltenjon for answering, but ALT+ENTER doesn't work, in the end I was able to run it full screen using the program DxWnd

This is not an AGS game, it's Wintermute. It's one of the games that were developed by students of the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Others are e.g. Actual Destination or Apeiron).
Unfortunately it seems to be lost  :(

gabriel19681_1

Thanks tag2015 for answering, I didn't know, sorry.

Edit: Strikethrough of found game.

gabriel19681_1

I only have this one:

Fribbeldib

I imagine the others will not be graphic adventures, and that is why I do not have them.
