I don't think this is an easy game, although Ispace hacked through it like a champion in a record time (I wonder if he took advantage of any bugs... ).

With regard to Balboa's storage room

Yes, you DO need another key.
It's inside Balboa's office, but you need to get Balboa to come out before you can go it.
You could try organising some sort of prank within his premises (that cordless phone is there for a reason - but you need to witness a cutscene before you get the phone number).
Do you know much about Romulus O'Whatashame?
Have a CLOSE look at Stan's stand (sorry, pixelhunt...) nad then ask Obby about it.

I read the engraving and got the name, then talked to the girl and she let me read her book twice.  I don't get the verse.  Is it a clue?  I can't see how to organize a prank on his premises.  I tried burning the stage curtains, but that didn't work.  The cordless phone still doesn't work.

Have you taken the mintie? That'd mean you've been through the first cutscene, where Balboa and Shady talk about a secret meeting in Thathurst Sq.

They say "Bouncer will be there". Well, go to Bouncer and talk to him, if you've read the right verse, he'll let you in.

There's another mintie?  I gave the first one to the little boy.  Maybe I need to slap him around and get it back

Bouncer is still in the stage area, not in the square.  I have put the suggestion from Obby in the suggestion box.  I have talked to the Blues Brothers.  I seem to be at a stand still.  Maybe the second mintie is the key?  I haven't seen the cut scene where Balboa talks to Shady.

Sorry, no kids harmed in this game. Although he probably deserves a bit of slapping, there's only one mintie.

I'm pretty sure cutscene #1 does come up when you take the mintie at the computer shop (nobody has complained about it not appearing until today).

Where did you pick up the mintie? Maybe you took advantage of the metal bar "millenium" bug and you're stuck -   - In that case, download, again, the bug is now fixed.

Or maybe the engine just didn't display the cutscene THAT one time...

The cutscene is necessary, because otherwise Bouncer doesn't turn up at the square. You only find out that Balboa is up to something filthy, that Shady is with him (which was sort of pretty obvious from the beginning anyway), that their next meeting in in Thathurst Square (and Bouncer will be there) and that the password is somewhere "near the finishing line".

In any case, a potential breakthrough: Have you solved the pixel hunt at the HOF? - The first time you enter it, Shady seems to be looking at something...
