Quote....An air of strangeness about it, an experience regularly compared to being duct taped to a lamp post in a busy highstreet: you're sure everyone is staring at you but there's not a lot you can do about it.

brings back an image of our apprentice duck taped to a shopping trolley in the middle of a major roundabout :-\
only thing is they had tape wrapped round his neck and nearly strangled him!

LoL yeah, Interference is actually me, sorry about that joke - it was very DGMacphee of me!

Hehe, only kidding - welcome aboard Interference. I'm 19, male and from Oxfordshire too, (Wallingford to be exact), but I'm not a student anymore. I work as a temporary agency worker under the looming monster that is Didcot Power station. It's a small world out there!

Ah, its okay - you're from Yarnton. Do you reckon you could organise some sort of gig in Woodstock, because every time I see signs for it I wonder if its the actual "Woodstock." ;)

Blimey, my grandparents used to live near Didcot Power station. Relax, that statement didn't intentionally insunuate they're dead. They're very much alive and very much barking mad.

Yarnton, on the other hand, is fairly boring at best and utterly dismal at any other time. Well, at least it looks nice. Sort of. Apparently - according to the AA Milemaster, Yarnton is nice for walking around in. That's it.

I'm currently living in Wycombe, where my Uni is. I come back home to Oxfordshire every holiday for a few weeks (should be a whole month next time I'm back).

As for Woodstock, I could see enormous pun potential should any event ever be held there. And a few people turning up to the wrong one. I'm sure I saw Jimi Hendrix around here somewhere...

He was probably then later mugged. No wait, that would've been if he had walked round Blackbird Leyes. We tried to organise "WallyStock" once - hopefully will get it organised some summer soon.

I often visit the FilmWorks at High Wycombe. It's fun.

Take it easy :)
