I'm not gay, but I have a lot of friends who are.

So, why should I show respect for you opinion when you show no respect for my friends?

And how can I take context into account when your comments were so shabbily worded that it was hard to make any context out of it?

There's a difference between being politically un-correct and being ignorant.
If you don't want your opinion discussed, then don't bring it up, especially if you go out of your way to make sure it's going to be an unpopular one.

Okay, that's the end of it.  I accept my defeat and hand you the victory.  I started an ill fated debate and caused more trouble than it was worth.  Evidently you're right and I'm wrong.  I definatly asked for what I got with the way I worded it.  But I don't think any other words would've prevented what happened.  

I've gradually started to feel out of place in this community, like I'm causing friction. I'm a very strong willed person and I know there are a lot other strong willed people here. But I never see them disagreeing with eachother.

I've had thoughts of leaving before and I'm having them now.  I don't know if they're coming out of my frustration or if they're coming becuase it's time for me to move on.  I don't know.  

Though I'd really miss all of you strong willed people if I did leave!!

But I came here becuase I wanted to make a game.  Over the past couple years that desire faded somewhat as I relised that to do what I wanted to do would take an entire team of people as well as a different engine.  Since I rarely involve myself in the actual creation of games (except for doing their music) things have probably grown more tense as I involved myself in more of the debates etc...

Leaving would mean my only involvment with this place would be doing the music for the people that hired me to do so.

What would you do in this situation?  And please, this is not a plead for attention or sympathy.

Sorry if I hurt you guys.  I dunno what got into me.  I just posted one stupid post and becuase of all the arguing I just kept replying and stuff.  Just kinda blindly wandering, not really considering what I was saying.

I don't have a problem with gay people. But to tell you the truth, I am more disturbed about gay men than gay woman, being that I am a man, and of course I love women. I think they are the most beautiful creatures to walk the face of the earth. It's something to see two woman kissing and holding hands...it's a turn on. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm not attracted to men, so I think it's unsettling, but at the same time I don't care. They're still human beings, blood/bones/emotions/opinions so they can do whatever the hell they want. Same thing goes with strait women, I'm pretty sure that some think the same way as I do, they aren't attracted to women, so they find it a little unsettling to see two women kissing, doing whatever.

What I don't like about particluar gay men, is when they act like they are a woman, talk like one, their actions, dressing like women. You might be gay and love men, but you're still a MAN. You're of the male gender, why must you "prance" around and make me and a lot of other people feel unconfortable? I know we must except them for who they are, and I agree of course, but they should also understand that not everyone is comfotable about seeing that. Gay men might be all happy and comfortable with expressing their sexuality, but not everyone wants to whitness it. This I can't explain because I'm not gay myself. If I were gay I'd probably act the same way. So I don't know.

One show I do not approve of is that new one, don't know what it's called, but I heard about it. It revolves around this group of gay men that go around changing as many strait men as they can find and turn them gay (I'm just damned sick of these stupid reality shows). Why turn a strait man gay, or even a gay man strait, leave them be. They are who they are.

Tell me off if you must, if I offended you.

you think men should act a certain way and women should act a certain way? being a MAN is having an x and y chromosome. why does there have to be these preconcived notions of what a man is? do men use tools and sweat and hate the colour pink? women should be dainty and smell nice and prance?

i don't know how to fix a car and i've never even driven one. i like the colour purple and i like tori amos. i don't like body hair and i hate shaving, i like teddy bears and hugging my girlfriend and i hate sports. I have slim wrists and i wear a lot of bracelets sometimes, many of them are rainbow coloured. am i still a man?  if you say yes then look a this...

edit: oh yea, and overly masculine guys going to beaches and looking at girls and making cat calls and punching people and people who get way to into sports games and fight over football... these people make me uncomfortable, shouldn't they have to censor themselves too? why just gay people?

Well, I'm quite hairy and wear pretty much just jeans and t-shirts all the time, so I'm gonna have to use another example from personal experience.

When I was a kid, no one had computers. I was the only one. These were in the dark ages when only losers and geeks knew how to turn a computer on. I never told people about my hobby, because it always ended in my feelings being hurt.
Anyways, nowadays everyone uses them, at least for the internet, and I bet if you asked, most people wouldn't be able to give you a real good reason why things were different years ago.

Point being, times change. Points of view evolve. Does that mean you should wait around for it to happen? Why not look ahead and try to be open minded? Hopefully one day gay people will be accepted for what they are. Hell, hopefully one day everyone will be accepted for what they are. Why not get ahead of the pack?

I know it's a joke,(and I never read what was written before you eddited it) but it has some truth in it, the internet started out by American University's, they wanted to link them all together to communicate with each other, I think also NASA had something to do with it.

It grew from there, but at the same time other countries ie Australia had plenty of networks in companies, Uni's, lots of BBS that people used, which eventually caught on to the internet thing.

The internet is not just 1 thing invented by a person, it's litterally billions of different networks hooked up through a cable, that had no real development process and is still very experimental.

I have no real point, but if America decided to shut the internet down, it wouldn't happen, cause the rest of the world would still use it, so no, America isn't just letting us use it, they are just using us for illegal information.


As for the topic, I don't see any problem with it, I don't know if I'd play it (unless you got the choice of being a lesbian) but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be interested.

I'm sure gay people aren't thrilled to play LSL and have to sleep with women (I could be wrong, I guess it's only a game, with great puzzles)

I guess the game could be good if the game play and story are good.
