I vote for Skumring. It doesn't seem to have much plays (at least on this database), nor does it have a rating yet.

Probably could be written about better, but it's all I got right now ;).

Done!

He is a bit bigger than he used to be, so you never know.  Might be a little AGS baby on the way.
#1204
Dave Gilbert is married, and had a baby on way at last Mittens (since arrived safely).  Maybe you're confusing the two?

Plus the ending might be a little bit of a letdown: "Oh, and after all the time and effort I devoted to AGS, I eventually got bored of it and let other people take over.  The end."

Now?
#1207
I didn't do it!  I assume it was the last SMF update that did, for some reason.

Plus the people who got 'scammed' are too stupid to be allowed money.

I was working on the ability to add up to three screenshots, but never got around to finishing it.  I thought I'd removed all references to it, but apparently not!  I'll sort it out when I get the chance.

Changed it to formally give CaptainD the credit, rather than cat.

Well- "Next To Evil" is a MAGS game, made by Joel Page. I haven't been able to retrieve the MAGS theme, but the game's from 2010 judging by the comments.

There is a MAGS website!

On the games page, one of the random screenshots looked interesting (well, at least in the small preview ;)), so I clicked on it. However, the page shows an error:

QuoteGame Not Found
The game you requested could not be found in the database. There are three possible reasons for this:...

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/746/
Is there something wrong with the page? Or was the game removed from the DB but not completely?
The title is supposed to be Dan Finds His Beard and the image is this: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/images/games/746.jpg

The random game thing was showing games that had been disabled ('deleted').  Shouldn't do anymore.

As for the calendar thing, I'll take a look at some point.

Yeah, it was making the code tag parse the same as code=ags that was the problem.  The markup editor used to add =ags by default.
#1215
The code tag changed when I upgraded SMF whenever it was.  I can't work out how to make it support just "
Code: ags
" rather than needing the specific ags parameter.  It uses GeSHi, a syntax highlighter that supports dozens of languages, which makes it very complicated.

And yes, there used to be a shortcut button in the post editor. It (and a few other tags) disappeared when I upgraded the plugin that handles the editor a while ago, but I couldn't remember which tags those were to readd them.  I'll hack it back in at some point.

Adventure games shouldn't try to do anything new!  They reached their apex in the mid 90s, and any more modern thinking will only lead to bad things.
#1217
If you don't look at everything, and read every response, you're not playing adventure games properly.

Examining objects should provide a level of detail that no art, no matter how high res and detailed, can necessarily convey.
