It would be nice if loominous could design something, as he did the art on the AGS main page, I believe.  Not sure when he was last around though.

Nope.  Even if a link is dead, it'll still count it in the AGS database when you click download (the first time - multiple downloads of a game from the same IP address aren't counted).

However, I did change the way downloads are logged recently, and apparently I forgot to include the field where the games page entries' download counts are stored.  This also affects another five games that were added recently.  Luckily the number of downloads a game has is stored elsewhere, so I can accurately rebuild this information.  Give me some time and it'll be sorted!

This is a list of just the first listed people (usually the owners).

And m0ds has loads of credits because he did music for so many games in the early years.

By the way, I tried to do the tags thing myself, SSH, but didn't seem to be able.  I do still have the option to create new posts though.  Is it because the post was written by someone other than myself that I couldn't edit it?  Not that it matters either way, I'm just curious.

Ghost, just so you know, a post has to have the 'AGS' tag (label) to appear on the feed on the AGS front page.

Any user profile, it just certain people's?  This bug seems to randomly affect some people, but I've never been able to reliably recreate it.

This forum is English language only, sorry.  Please post in English, or not at all.

Quote from: AGA on Fri 24/05/2013 00:33:27Mittens people have often pronounced it aga like the oven.  I do not approve!  It's an initialism, damnit.

I thought an "intialism" was something that couldn't be said phonetically?  Like IBM or AGS.  An "acronym" is something that can be phonetically spoken like NATO or LOL.

Have I been living under a falsehood all these years?  Say it isn't so!!

An initialism is pronounced letter by letter (FBI, CIA, AGA), while an acronym is pronounced as one word (NASA, NATO).  Which seems to be what you're saying?  Don't see how this goes against what I said before!

Yes, yes we do.

It interesting that there are both AGA and AJA forum members around here.
Haha, true.  I pronounce both of those just by saying the letters 'ay-jee-ay' and 'ay-jay-ay'.  Does anyone actually say them as words?

The English language has been influenced by so many different cultures, we've been invaded or settled by Celts, Romans, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danes, Normans, Welsh, Scots, Dutch...
It's no wonder the English language is difficult!

Why do you differentiate Celts from Welsh and Scots?

Also, it's a hard g.  Anyone who disagrees with me will be banned!

Totally agreed on the MM3 thing.  If there's no files to show for a project, it shouldn't be in the games db yet, it should be in an AGS Games in Production thread.  I've disabled that entry.

Now Grundislav and Jen now aren't coming, bagsy a double bed to myself!  No sharing for me!

Thanks Arj0n and Peder.  Using this info I've added what should be all the valid AGSA download links, regardless of whether the AGSA name is completely identical to the one in the AGS db.
#1338
Probably because the game names are stored in the database escaped, while the search strings aren't, or vice versa.  Should be a quick fix for Peder when he reads your message!
#1339
I just added a thing where authorised people can set the AGSA link on the paneledit page.  If you don't know what that means, ignore this message!
#1340
Fixed the bracket.

Because the title of the game in the AGS games page is not identical to the one in the AGS Archives.  Not really much we can do about that, since having non identical matching is too open to mistakes.  If you want to provide a list of examples of this though, I'd be happy to fix them manually.

AGSA pages where the link isn't hosted locally won't be returned, because that's pointless.  It's having a reliable link on AGSA we care about!
