As true as it is that The Office and LoG are great, that's about it. We have just as much dross as American networks do, too. We have 200-odd satellite TV stations of crap, and most of our 'regular' TV stations are mostly awful too. Fortunately for you, plenty of great British TV filters through, while the more awful stuff is ignored...

You left the 'a' off the end of the sign in the second screenshot...

- it already exists :P Admittedly it doesn't have such a cool icon though...

Mad World is a fantastic song, btw :)

If by "fantastic", you mean shitawful, then yeah. It's an overrated song, taken from an overrated film. Admittedly Donnie Darko isn't as bad as Mad World is, but it's still not as great as people make it out to be.

It was my mother who introduced me to adventure games originally, so she definitely knows how they work... :P

Maybe whoever put RL&BAT on the games page should change the link so that it points at the windows version instead of whever it's pointing at the moment?

Either you're silly, or someone changed it just now, 'cause when I went to edit the link (I moderate the games page) it was already set to the windows version...

Maybe they just want to keep their names private, just for personal reasons.

Nah, AGD1 has told her real name on the Tierra forums, she just doesn't go shouting it out :P

Well it depends how you want it, really, cause both work... Broken Sword has right-click as look, but BASS has left as look. I prefer right-click as look, but it's your decision, really :P

Apart from the "it takes you time to learn" bit, it's eerily accurate.

His point, Mats was that you misspelled Mr Colossal's nick in exactly the post you were complaining about other people misspelling your name...

Leisure Suit Larry 1 (and most of the AGI games for that matter) had a timer built-in. I could finish it in under 5 minutes, but it's not exactly a long or hard game...

Send me $200 on Paypal and I'll buy one and ship it to her. Really... I will... ¬_¬

He said it's abandonware now iirc. So you could ask someone to either copy the CD for you, or upload it...

Alien Rape Escape was a team effort - scotch did most of the art, with help from Flippy_D. Alkaline also helped with something, although I can't remember quite what...

I played the demo too, and I had much the same fears as you have.

But, it seems that maybe Ion Storm did just slap together a demo to keep people happy, while spending their true efforts on making a good full product... Unfortunately this may very well put a lot of people off buying the full producy.

And while the marketing leaves a lot to be desired, I think the plot (so far...) is definitely up to scratch.

This is totally off this topic, but have you played Deus Ex 2 yet, Interference? I'm a few hours into it and by my reckoning it's by no means a 'dumbed down console shooter'...
