Yeah, bastards claim I haven't paid my bill, even though my card got billed last Thursday. I have emailled them, but no reply yet...

That be because he's hosted on agagames.com, which be slightly dead temporarily.

Quote from: Ghormak on Mon 21/07/2003 07:12:31Maybe the saying (I don't know if you use it in English) "too many chefs spoil the soup" is true.

It's 'too many cooks spoil the broth' in English, but it means exactly the same thing, since broth is soup...

The simple fact is that you can't rightly compare Sierra and LEC games. They are completely different, and pretty much the only similarity is that they're adventures.

LEC tended to make humourous games, with little serious content (Indy excepted, obviously), Sierra made more serious games (with a few more humourous exceptions like SQ and LSL).

LEC wouldn't let you die (usually), Sierra was FULL of deaths.

LEC games tended to be a bit easier, and easier to play and complete, finishing a Sierra game was quite an undertaking, filled with deaths and dead-ends.

Although I love both Sierra and LEC, I don't think you can really decide who's 'best', given just how different they are. If you like LEC's games, but not Sierra, then great, but that doesn't make LEC the better company, it just means Sierra doesn't appeal to you.

Pretty cool. The only thing I don't quite like is the icons. I prefered the Davy Jones-themed ones. They made the games seem more uniquely RON than your new ones do. Apart from that though, great :D

He's in Belgium, I assume he's gonna be there during Mittens too?

agagames.com is down for a bit due to them claiming I haven't paid my bill, even though I have. Should be back up sometime next week. This means any games/mirrors/avatars etc that I host will be down until then.
#3973
It's hosted on agagames, which is temporarily down. Please bear with us :)

Editted your post to change the title and to remove the thing about the screenshot - the link was invalid...

Who's Goya? Was it made using AGS? Why is it so damned huge?! :P

What Flippy_D said is true. The older members do tend to be "nice blokes" because the non-nice people just didn't stick around all this time. There are newbies that I consider nice blokes and there are those I dislike. Hopefully the non-nice ones will eventually fade away, leaving us with a lot of nice guys...

No no no no!!!! I've been an AGS member for almost 2 years now and I have 578 posts. 150+ posts in a week is an insane amount. What the hell do you find to post about?!

Personally, if a newbie makes a poor first impression, they will automatically be in my 'bad books'. It will take something big, a good game release, or slowly showing their maturity/quality, to rectify this.

Invariably those whose first post is a 'Hi I'm x and I love adventure games' style post make a good impression. These people are almost always valuable community members.

Although I don't necessarily agree with Helm's opinion of Yufster (I've been on holiday and haven't read any of Yufster's posts), I do admire his honesty.

There are a lot of members on these forums that I personally can't stand. I've never confronted any of them and told them how I feel. It takes a brave person to tell somebody outright that they dislike/hate them. Maybe if we all were as honest, the more 'annoying' forum members would curb their irritating behaviour and everyone would get on much better...
