Isn't it great that any single mod. of these forums has admin. power over the game pages? MWAHAHAHAHA!
Errr... Excuse me for being out of character for a while. :=

Isn't it great that every single admin action performed on the games pages is automatically logged ¬¬

He and his frat buddies have been out punching ghosts.

1. Forthcoming. ddq and Esseb took some
2. Probably Australia

We're still on our way home, and will write up when we can.

It was only ever possible to do it because I accidentally allowed the option at one point. In the overall history of the forums it hasn't been allowed for very long.

Alright, you may try following way to detect what is going on.

Download the TCPView program (do not worry, it's free AND from official microsoft site, no scam or something): https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437

After running it you will see a report list of processes which use TCP and UDP connections.
Sort the list by the column "Sent bytes" or "Recv bytes" by clicking on column header.
To test how this works, run your web browser and open some sites with pictures, well anything that would have noticable impact on traffic.

After you learnt how it works in general, run your game and check the list from time to time.

Windows Task Manager does this too, at least since Windows 8, if not earlier.  Ir also shows usage history data.

Also, what happens when the money runs out?  If we start off by paying someone a fair chunk of money to devote time to rewriting the engine, are other people really going to be happy to continue doing the excellent work they've done so far for free?  Or are they all doing to think 'well x got $y for his time, why shouldn't I?'.  I'm not sure the 'business' is sustainable enough to keep paid development going for very long.  There are only so many AGS users, only so many people who will donate.

I would assume something involving either the lake or the river.

A little bit off topic but seems fitting for my annual donate button question: Perhaps that AGS donate button could finally be put on the front page (and on the forum menu above) so that the AGS developers can earn from their work and requests? I understand "for the love of it" and all that but imagine if Dave, me or any other commercial dev went by that, we'd all be broke and unmotivated ;) I'm sure they, me and us all that enjoy the features, updates and fixes would chip in donations from time to time. There are also a number of other good deeds it could do, like AGS game fund for struggling developers or whatnot.

There is a donate page and has been for years.  It's just not made a fuss about.  If people did donate (and they don't), most of the money would go towards Peder for his hosting the site.  Of course anything left could be spent on the community.

However, how do you apportion money for something like the AGS development, which has a load of different contributors?  Like CW coordinates all the releases, but he of course doesn't do *all* the work.  How the hell do you work out a fair payment plan?

Wonder what would happen if everyone brought bags of suspicious ground substances with them through the airports...

I've been reading a lot about Cajun and creole cooking.  We should make a jambalaya on the first night.  It's apparently pretty simple.

The steamship ride has live jazz, and the general 'French Quarter' category should cover it too, especially if we go after dark.  Apparently it's basically impossible to avoid live jazz around there.

I've done some research, and found some things that seem interesting:

Steamboat NatchezToulouse Street, New Orleans, LA 70130; Approx 15 mins' drive from house$29.50

Not everyone has to join in everything of course, but chances are we'll be visiting most of this stuff, even if no one else is interested in coming along.

We've got cemeteries, swamps, voodoo, the Mississippi, the French Quarter, slavery...  Seems to cover most of the NOLA bases!

Is that what it takes to get a "player rating", five ratings?

Yup.  Can't get a worthwhile average without that many
