I found a secret hidden hotfix version of the project tracker that may potentially fix this problem.  Can someone check to see?

Remake and Fan Game are already categories in the games page!  Of course only one person has actually ever used those flags, so the search doesn't return them...  If people want to suggest more examples on top of Monsieur OUXX's, I'll flag them appropriately.

Huh.  No one has pointed that out over the last almost three years since I redid the site.  I'll look into it.

I forget the exact steps, but it may be as easy as copying the exe into the game directory and just running it. So if you get an Android build of the engine, you can try running the Blackwell games with that.

Yes.  Get the Android engine, run, hope your game works.  People like Wadjet Eye tend to redesign their interfaces and such to make games more playable on a touchscreen though.

I played my first video game when I was six...and it was all downhill from there.

I played Leisure Suit Larry when I was six.  Both my parents work in IT, what can I say...

I still remember getting new boxed versions of LSL6 and Freddy Pharkas for my birthday, which the release dates tell me must have been my eighth.  However, I found the boxes in my parents' bedroom, and started playing the game well before my birthday...

So yeah, video games will make your children naughty ones, who can't wait to get their hands on the age inappropriate games you let them play.

The art assets were drawn by CJ, 'inspired' by Sierra (i.e. not direct rips).  I believe the same is true of the fonts, although I can't guarantee that.

Damn hackers, introducing minor SQL errors! ¬¬

OpenOffice has 100,000,000+ downloads according to the website.  I used to use it before I scored free Office from work, and it works very well.

Is there any way to report a "Game Not Found" error? - as these games shouldn't really be on the lists now.

(In case there isn't... just making a note here for future reference:)

Abstract - Game Not Found

An Egyptian Adventure - File Not Found (admittedly the error page for this does ask you to report it on the forum).

Define "the lists".  The AGS site code is a billion lines long, and I'm not gonna dig through every one of them to work out which of the many lists you're referring to!

I also noticed there are games on the "all games list" that are marked with "Download link broken", even though the link is working just fine.

We're not psychic!  If you don't tell us the actual names of the games, there's no way we can fix it.  If someone used the 'report this link as broken' button in the past, it would just mark the link as broken without any checking.  That doesn't happen anymore, but there are still some flags set by the old system.  If you let us know which links are now valid, we can reset the 'link broken' flag.

Thanks, Mark. I'll be booking flights within the next few days!

Excited to attend my first AdventureX!

It'll be good to see you after your missing the last two Mittens like some sort of bastard.  It'll give you an opportunity to bring me the handmade, signed boxed copy of your game you totally promised me you'd bring me.

There's also the Charlie Chaplin pub (http://finnella.co.uk/) that supposedly has some of the cheapest pints in central London.  And a cutting edge early 00s website.

Er, no it isn't...  Elephant is about half a mile to the north east of Kennington!  It just has more of the south London ambience (read: council estates and air of danger).

It's outer London so hotels will be a good deal cheaper. There's actually a Youth Hostel nearby, it doesn't have great reviews but should be OK for a night or two.

Southwark is inner London, and Elephant is in zone 1 (/2 boundary, but shush).  Maybe you meant it's sahf of the river, so is cheaper!

Haha, Elephant roundabout is a nightmare if you don't know the area.  We'll definitely need to make it clear on all the information which exits, crossings, etc to take to get to the venue.

Brazil is actually the #12 most visited from country on the site.  Egypt #56.  And those are just the first countries in those areas I could see.

When is Mittens usually held? The Pop Culture Association is meeting in New Orleans this year in the first week of April, and if any academics are among you, I'm sure they'd love some adventure game related presentations.

Mid summer.  That's a bit too early in the year unfortunately.

Jeremy, you are not giong to name the baby Darth, are you? If you are, I might sue you for removal of custody. :-O

No, it'll be called Anakin.

I honestly have no idea.  What I ended up doing to fix it was save the files as BMPs before uploading them again.  Worked perfectly then, for whatever reason...
#979
Okay, the reason seemed to be that some of your screenshots were malformed for some reason.  When I opened them up and resaved them they worked fine, and are now all uploaded.
#980
Let me know where the originals are uploaded, and I'll see what I can do.  For this, and your other game.
