If you want a highly entertaining game to play this Halloween, then look no further.
There are monsters galore and great fun to be had by all ages.

Ciao Vincent

I have just noticed that Tales of Jayvin, thanks to Dennis, is now available for MAC.

Spamfastic Studios deserves to have this excellent game showcased on as many
platforms, as possible.

I am surprised that after some fantastic reviews there are only two 'AGS Panel Ratings'
one of them mine.

Come on guys it only takes a few seconds to do this, and shows appreciation for the
work required to bring pleasure to a lot of people.

Thanks Cassiebsg.

I will do as you recommended and go with eri0o's suggestion.

As I'm normally a thread killer, it is quite refreshing to have had
replies to my post. :)

Hi RickJ

You have certainly given me plenty of food for though,
with your suggestions and I will see if any of them are
for me.

I appreciate your input.

I am so glad to see that Tales of Jayvin is 'Pick of the Month', thanks to
Lorenzo's recommendation.

The sheer amount of work that went into this game, over a four year period,
is staggering.

Thousands of lines of programming were implemented by Vincent, while
RetroJay was responsible for drawing each, and every, graphic.

Hunched over their keyboard and mouse, for hours at a time, they created a game
truly worthy of this honour.

It covers most genre of games, is hugely entertaining, and has it all- in buckets! :-D

Hi eri0o

I have just seen your post. I will be checking the site you have
directed me to, shortly.

Thanks for the update.
#167
Thank you, eri0o, for the information.

What you have told me is most helpful. :)

Hi eeri0o

I suppose your own Website would be the ideal solution when uploading
a game, but I don't think you could use a free website to do this, could you?
The thought of spending hard earned cash doesn't really appeal to me. :)

Nice of you to get back to me, Vincent. You certainly have been busy
researching the browser issue. I have just read it for the third time,
just to get my head around it. Time to go and have a lie down in a
darkened room. :)

I had no idea what a complicated affair something like a browser was.
It must be an absolute nightmare for all concerned to get the balance
right. Something else we all take for granted.

Once again thank you for the information, it is much appreciated. ;-D

Ciao, Vincent. (bet you didn't know that I can speaka da Italiano)  :)

Thank you for your input.

I am still none the wiser as to why some browsers work and some don't.

I wonder if it may be governed by which OS is used.

Oh, well, never mind. It will have to remain one of the unanswered mysteries
of the twenty first century. ???

Thanks for the information Cassiebsg, RetroJay and Blur. As I have already said
I dont really know a lot about this topic, but it seems strange that certain sites
are not compatible with peoples browsers. I use Chrome and so far have had no
problem.

If anybody else can shed any light on this subject I would be interested to hear
your views.

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Uploading game

This may seem a silly question to all you AGS aficionados, but I am curious as to
the best site, webpage, whatever to upload a game once it is completed. I believe
Gamejolt and Itch.io are options. However, is it better to upload to a personal
website to achieve maximum downloads. The chances that I will ever need to do this
are a squillion to one, but I suppose stranger things have happened.
#173
I see that there is a new video, for your viewing pleasure, on the download screen.

This showcases the game much better than the first.

However, it still doesn't do the game justice, because you have to play in full screen
mode, to fully appreciate the landscape, of which this video is a small part.

The underwater sequence is lovely but you will not unlock this until you complete
a certain quest.

If you are footsore from walking you can ride a horse, but only if you have earned the
privilege.

Beat the boy on the gamejoy consule and, if you are angling for fun, have a go at the fishing competition.

Enjoyment by the bucketload!!!

Hi fellow AGSers
If you are looking for a game that is truly captivating, then Tales of Jayvin is the one for you.
The game provides hours, rather than minutes, of pleasure as you explore the Land of Naturnum.
Completing quests, puzzle solving and battling an array of creatures, is just part of the story.
There are many other treats awaiting the player, but to reveal anymore would spoil the experience.
In fact, there is so much to do, and enjoyment to be had, that you will find it hard to quit play.
Give it a go. You wont be disappointed.

AGS Games in Production / Re: Tales of Jayvin

Hi Vincent and RetroJay of Spamfastic Studios. Having had the privilege of testing your most excellent game ( touch of the Bill and Ted's there) I am very surprised that not one person has commented on The Tales of Jayvin. The sheer amount of effort that has gone into this game, over a four year period, is mind boggling. I don't think I would have the staying power. your programming and artistic skills were certainly put to the test. The four screenshots really dont do it justice. There is so much to this game that I found it totally absorbing and can't wait to play it again in a more relaxed manner. Best of luck with The Tales of Jayvin, you deserve it.

Hi there fellow AGSers

It's that time of year, again, for another shameless plug regarding a game called The Decorcist. Halloween is the ideal time to play this, because it has the horror element of ghosts and monsters. Also, there is a witch, with black cat, swooping about on her broomstick. A fun game for kids of all ages. Why not give it a try if you're not too scared.

As Ghost suggested here is the direct link to The Decorcist. http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1887/

General Discussion / Re: games

Hi Bertolino

There are endless good games on the site, but I would strongly recommend: The Lost Prince of Lorden, Mudlarks, The Decorcist and The Visitor 1-3.

Hi Danvzare
There are plenty of inventory object puzzles. My inventory was so full with objects I had to find a use for, in City of Fools, that I needed a very large wheelbarrow to transport them in.
The only way to assess if you like these games is to actually play them. You might be pleasantly surprised.
#179

Hi fellow AGSrs

When I first started playing hidden object games they were, just that, and pretty boring. Nowadays, they have evolved into more adventure than hidden object. Steam have a large selection at very reasonable prices, especially when they have a sale. One of my favourite games is City of Fools. It is clever and very entertaining. I can't really say that there is one I have hated.
