Messages - Cryxo

#41
I just bought the Dreamfall & Longest Journey in a limited ed. box with goodies and stuff a couple of days ago. At first I was a bit aprehensive to buy it but I had heard great things of TLJ.

I played it for about 45 mins and didn't think it was too bad. But I never ever hear people talking about it anywhere (apart from PC Gamer UK's John Walker). Is it really a classic in the point and click adventure genre? Or is the reason why its talked about so little is because it just simply sucks in other peoples' eyes (to put it bluntly)?

This looking really good  ;D
It should be made a game by the community.

I vote for Kastchey's.

I think that IMO the idea of it is very clever.  ;D

Thanks for the font  ;D

It's my first ever piece of pixel art, and I'm very happy of how it turned out.

Boring idea that didn't turn out as planned, but I like the sunny atmosphere:

What?! Thats damn amazing!

Edited by mod: Don't quote whole post with large image(s), especially when it's just the last post above yours.

Cryxo: Sorry, my bad.

The engine wouldn't let me into it without it.

I didn't mean it to be a strict "do as a say because I know better".
I myself am new to sprite making, and a guide is very helpful.
I only meant it for help with people new with it, as it says in the subject line.

Anyway, thanks for all the posts  8). Very helpful.

A friend of mine (Geork) sent me a test game (because we are working together on one) is using keyboard movement. But when he sent me the game, it didn't include the file which is named in the subject.

Where can I get this? I have looked in the resources and found it, however it was .101  ???

Would you mind posting a link to ones that you think are good?
I would love to find a good sprite tutorial.
#55
Surprisingly enough, it isn't  ???

A while back, I was looking for resources & tutorials for my planned game. And I came across this - http://www.derekyu.com/?page_id=219

It is very helpful for those who don't really know how to create sprites etc...

Thanks, I think I misread something on the features page.

I was very confused about this ???. I would prefer to have a lot more animation in a game I am planning to make.

Sorry...

Dualnames... I love you  ;D. Can't wait till it comes out!

Hi! I am a fifteen year old british guy who goes around with the name Cryxo. I have been a fan of the adventure game genre since I played Sam and Max: Hit the Road which was about two years ago. I am very much into the LucasArts classics. and I am only just discovering the Sierra games   :o

I have known about AGS for only two weeks now. Me, and a of mine are planning to make a game with this great game engine. So I am really looking forward to that.
I cannot believe that I haven't found out about AGS any sooner, I love it!

A big thanks to Densming who made the video tutorials! A big thumbs-up there  ;D
