I can' t understand how can you still mention alcohol to me. I rarelly drink alcohol. I never defensed it in this thread.

But what annoys me most is that NOBODY has stablished a basical difference between the "spirit" of alcohol and the use of mushrooms/cannabis/LSD, etc... Both are "taking something for recreational effects". What you are doing here is telling "No! No! If you want to kill someone the lethal injection is not the best option. Guillotine was better" You are not telling "Death penaly should be banned", which should be a good reply to "I support death penalty". You are discussing different ways of killing.

You are not discussing to me, you are just putting excuses to go on taking drugs without concience problems.

You are making en evasive maneuver.

Excuse me if I don' t admire your "I change alcohol for cannabis". I would admire "I changed alcohol for Sport/Writing/Social works/etc...", but not for this... (I still think that you are a great artist and game makes, so, no offense if I don' t admire ANY aspect of your life, ok?  ;) )

I go on: I don' t know why in the XXIth century we still go on with "Natural is good... artificial is bad". The most powerfull poisons in earth are natural. The vaccines are artificial. Those who think that "using something to get something" that can be adquired "without taking anything" are not close minded. I know that drungs can help you "hear better/Interact better/imagine better/chilling out better/etc..." I know that. But yo can get all that "naturally" with a bit of training and attitude. Getting a shortcut, is, no matter what you say, a pitty.

And totally artificial, sorry, even if the mushroom is natural. ^_^

But... but... that's what he said, that he uses mshrooms because it' s interesting, no?  ???
#1063
Sorry if I called for a missunderstanding, but when I typed "jumping from an skycrapper" I was not refering as a jump provoqued by a bad trip after eating mushrooms... My example just meant that there are ZILLION of ways to get new experiences without using drugs. It also means that not all this ways to get nex experiences are good
(So, MC, comparing here the deaths provoqued by alcohol is totally uncalled for, here, since I was not talking of deaths caused by mushrooms)

I go on, MChammer; Do you recognise that mshrooms don' t bring anything "magical" to you? (No cure for cancer, no?) So... why using them? "Well, they bring something interesting!"

My reply: Do you do need drugs to bring interest to your live?

I feel sorry for you, mate.

So, to summarise, what you basically did is criticise alcohol, for then, in the following line, recognise that mshroom is more or less the same shit (According to your words nothing "special" but something which can bring interest to a boring life...) I don' t really get your point.

Jumping from the 10th floor of an skycrapper might help you to see the life from a different angle, and it might not be very recommendable. I' ve read here some of the most used topics about drugs, and they still sound like crap to me.

Shamans have used them for 10000 years!

And? Have they seen something interesting? No... basically they were drugged people. No one has seen the cure for cancer after eating a mushroom.

Ahhh! This thread still works! Thanks Tuomas, Petter, Obi (I am looking for a mic for testing that site!) and a hug for Paco! :D Thanks!

can you copy and upload the song? I'm pretty sure I could identify it

Alas, my friend, if I am digging up this old thread is because I don' t have access to the tune, atm...  :)

Link to the "Doors" version... Hope it helps... The part where Jimmo says "Hello I love you, baby tell me your name", those 10 notes, are virtually identycal... Except for the timing (In "my song" the beat is faster) and Jimmo' s voice is substituted by a guitar.

I mught meet the owner of the cd tomorrow, eventually, hope to guess the name and, of course, tell it to you, to avoid headaches.  :)
#1067
It' s a cd which only label was "música"  ;D And he does not remember more than what I told to you in this previous post :)

Hello! I just heard a song that I like... I want it, so, excuses for digging up this thread.

It sounds a lot like the tune of "Hello I love you" by "The Doors", but it' s not that song... It is faster, and the tune played by the organ in "The Doors" version is make now by an electric guitar...

The problem... I directly asked to the owner of the CD which is the song, and he told me that "I think it' s a song by the Kinks, something with "time" in the title". I downloaded all the songs of the discography of the kinks with that word in the title, and nothing... Maybe it' s not a song by The Kinks? I am quite sure it had the word "time" in the repetitive part of the lyrics.

Thanks!

Yes, Shbaz, and our history (Seen Europe as a unique entity) is the same, (or worst) But, as said, I am not going to discuss, basically because if I compare what the US does with what Europe does, I am going to be told that "Interactions from Western countries with less developed ones is bad, I never told that America is doing with South America something worst than what we are doing with Africa, etc..."

I don' t think that Petter was directly talking about"America", but about "Economy". (Petter, excuse me if I am wrong and I placed words in your mouth uncorrectly)

And I' ve chatted enough with him to know that we don't have the same thoughts about economics, so, as he is my friend, I will just say "Ok, mate, I know what you say, but I don' t agree".  ;)

And now, Zabnat... To go on with the experiment... We had some coverage about the other guy imprisoned for telling in the internet that he was going to do a similar massacre to the sad events of the previous week, but nothing "big". How is the thing there? Are the tabloids focusing in that, as well?

Oh, yeah.. I' ve read that things before :)

Now I know why you wrote what you wrote. I didn' t really know why someone could had in grace someone like Chávez in grace, but now it' s clear, thanks.

I just don' t agree, but it' s ok.  :)

***Just thinking aloud, Petter, since you seem to talk about Chávez' merits in past tense***

But some reflexions, not directed to anyone in particular...

Why being a south american bastion against the USA is good?

The countries which have "surrended" to the US, like the Dominican Republic, Chile, or Mexico, are relativelly wealthy and rich, whereas the "opositors", like Bolivia, Brasil, Cuba, Argentina and Venezuela, the most time "free from the Imperialist fist" are, the worst economy they have.

Chávez is a populist who is using the huge amount of petrodollars to survive, while his country is suffering his megalomania losing social services, like facilities and health care system (To make a brief, in every aspect that a socialist government should take care of, social services...)

This post is not even a critic to socialism... Chávez basically declares himself "socialist" and "anti American imperialism" because that' s what people wants to hear... At the same time, his pocket gets hypocritically bigger and bigger... Like Castro and Arafat did before... I see a pattern.  :-\

We only need to know that the National Petroleum Company does not publish their data from 2003, Why? Even Lula, from Brasil, not suspect from being a right doll of the American imperialism, really, is advising him not to nacionalise the petroleum enterprises so fast, that the country does not have the facilities, and skills to do so without falling into unneficacy (=less incomes=lost opportunities and most poverty). Take note Evo.

Venezuela is not the 136th most corrupted country in the world (being the 73rd when Chávez came), the external debt has moved from 21,000 USD Billions to 41,000, and that it is placed 126th in the list of Economical freedom of the World... Oh! and kidnappings have been increasedd a 450%. :/

Last thought: Really... The "He is an anti-America, he is cool!" sentences must die. A person is cool or not, and in addition, he can be anti-american or not, both sentences mustn' t go attached per se (IMHO, declaring yourself Anti-nameofsomecountryhere, should redouce your level of coolness, but, hey... I can even accept that).

It' s sad to see that this form of xenophobia (anti Americanism)is, not only allowed, but cheered up by most of the world intelectuallity.  :'(

No, no... this was not "Spain vs. Venezuela". This was "Polite vs. Unpolite"  ;) As said, I think that many venezuelans are "victims" of this Chávez, in spite of his "devoted followers" (Acording to some chats I had and some interviews I' ve heard today).
#1073
Oh, come on... We remember, and still love, you, Flippy ^_^.
#1074
Hello... I just had some good laughs watching some animated gifs, specially this one:

My first question is: Somebody knows what I am talking about? I want to do a little experiment about the coverage of the news around the world... It should be cool if you post something like "Yes, I know what I is this all about, and I am from..." or "No... I am from ... and I have no idea what is all this about"

Hint: In Spain it's the hit parade of the moment, with full coverage, politones downloadable for your cellphone and all that stuff coming in when a new fever starts.

And now... for those who doesn' t know what I am talking about:

Spoiler
All this is about my King, Juan Carlos I, telling Venezuelan Prime Minister to shut up when he was accussing the previous Spanish president of being a fascist.
[close]

And now... the second part of the post: What do you think of the performance of the three main characters of this drama (The King, the Spanish President and the Venezuelan Prime Minister)? Who was right? Where does the freedom of speech finish?

Oh, and just to clarify... I don' t want to start a fight with the Venezuelans. I know some of them, and, as far as I know they might be closer to my King than his Prime Minister ^_^

But even if they are not, no offense, please, I will never allow politics to take me away from the mates, I promise  :)

I love you Ciro! :) Thanks: This non-profit work is something that the AGeéSeerresianos (Spanish AGS) must pay eith love and devotion ^_^.

I am just going to say that I am happy that this "Haiku maybe help?" silly thread has gone forever from gen gen. ^_^
#1077
That were Kimmi and Jenny, the F-1 Poker Championship and her wife.
#1078
In half an hour? Kimi? Oh, no... I didn't mean the Formula One championship, I meant the F-1 Poker Championship, won by Kimmi Raikkonen, with two "mm".
#1079
Kimmi Räikkönen is the new F-1 champion, after bieng second two times before, and after the most dirty years I can remember since, probably, 1991. Congratulations to the Finnish who like him (Since we have Alonso here I can' t simply pressume that having the same nationality as someone is going to mean that you are automatically his fan  :P), and specially, those who, like me, tiffo la Scuderia Ferrari.

And deeeep thanks for overtaking in the classification that asshole that I am embarrased to recognise that has the same nationality like me. I' d liked to see the yellow helmet raising the cup again, but... He! Next year Lewis. Thank you as well for winning Fernando.

The curious thing is that, in the two races I have been this year, Kimmi did 0 and only 6 points (Catalunya and Monza), but well... I' t been emotionant, at the end.

^_^/ ciao, and Forza Ferrari!

Lucky bastard! ;D
