Prophecies are the proof? Any extense book with vague predictions will sooner or later predict facts correctly, specially if it does not give dates, having, therefore, all the future to score the goal. Nostradamus also "predicts" things, and there' s nothing to see with divinity there. Moby Dick predicted the death of Lady Diana if applied to the letters the correct mathematical formulas.

Sometimes things are repeated often because they need people to believe they are true (A lie told 1,000 times becomes a thruth -Joseph Goebbes) The bible is a repetition of cliches without any sustent of logic.  Besides, being skeptical about the truth or refusing to believe it doesn't in any way diminish its truthfulness.  Its a loosing battle, and the sooner you realize that the better.

Istvan I hate you for making such functional graphics with that simplicity. I guess you'll be able to finish 3 or 4 per day... I envy you and I am going to send you a virus.

Of course, just kidding... Great work.

Some centuries ago people like you was so sure about their beliefs that "people without faith" was burned in the city squares... Nowadays, churches are empty, and believers are a minority... As much the science advance, the most is religion seen as folklore. Nowadays the kids believe longer in Santa Claus than in God...

Yes... We are really loosing the battle...  ;D

Prgo, while I agree with you in the overall panorama you describe, I was talking specifically of Lucasarts. And MI4 killed the AGs for Lucasarts. There were so many critics and they were so fierce that they gave up with FT2 and S&M2 because they were realising that the thing was going to be similar to MI4. Lucasarts could have been a reduct company for AGs. If MI4 was overally recognised as "good", FT2 and S&M2 would have been done, and, if they were good, we could have seen more adventures.

And anyway, the games mentioned in the one year old thread are unfinished, so, the list is basically going to be the same.

It was a silly joke about conspiranoids (Bush launched a missile against the Pentagon, Nixon killed Kennedy, etc...) It was non related with the topic, and it' s horrible to make fun about planes crashing in buildings, I feel bad about that, and now I am sorry.

So, apologies for the thread and the bad taste.

EDIT: In my deffense, it' s slightly related with the thread, but I should ellaborate my point too much, and I don' t feel with strenghts to do it...  :)

Again, sorry.

Fangirl...

Off topic, but Bush has kidnapped an helicopter, killed all the crew, and crashed it into a residential building in New York, where lived a person who had important information that could have taken him into jail, re-editing also the images of hysteria of the 9/11, helping in this way of making more popular the war on terror... Two birds for one bullet.

Just before the conspiraniods start to threw the shit, I' ll do it... ^_^

But still, a bit higher than in Serbia... no?

Or Normandy...

Oh, I thought WMDs were chemical and nuclear weapons, but apparently WMD is equal to Nukes... Sorry SSH...

The only question is... Why using two words for describing just one weapon? Mmm...
#1474
That' s true, as well...  :)

You are all wrong. The bible is a big Roschard test.

I don' t know if we have global anmesia or something... Saddam had WMD, he bombed the Kurds with them, and used them in the Iranian-Iraqian war. He still had them during the Gulf War. All the "non for War!" governments, France, Germany, and the democrat party, including John Kerry, in the USA said he had WMD. He expulsed the inspectors in 1992, and they left the country knowing he had them. He accepted inspectors shortly before the war as a final resource, but he was not able to prove them he made specific acts to destroy the waepons. The 1441 resolution specifically said that Saddam had to prove to the inspectors that he destroyed the WMD. And he was everything but collaborative with the inspectors, so, basically, again, he gave the US a casus belli.

So, now we are there and we can' t find them. Why? I personally think that he was not able to keep the WMD arsenal. Maybe the chemical products were rooten or something, but what I can' t imagine is Saddam suddenly thinking in some moment between 1992 and 2002 "Mmmmm... Nothing forces me to do it, the inspectors are not here and the UN does not preassure me, but I am going to destroy my WMDs... I am that cool"

So, the question is that if the USA knew if the WMD were unnoperative. I personally think they didn' t, as Saddam, in my opinion, thought that if the amercians thought he still had the WMDs, they were not going to attack him. We have evidences of that. Saddam was offered via Syria a huge amount of american money to abandon the presidential seat two days before the war started (I think the amount of money offered was brutal, something like the gross national product of a small country) but he rejected... why? I think he thought that the americans were sure that he still had the WMDs, and that they were an insurance against an attack.

I respect that people think that the evidences were fabricated, but some informations aim into the other direction. We won' t really know unless we enter in Pentagon and take a look to the... X-Files!

The "You automatically and hypocritically hate 3d" theory is wrong since the very moment that most of us LOVE Grim Fandango.

And trust me, I was not aware of the internet current saying MI4 sucked when I bought it, I did not have internet by that time, and I bought the game being really happy and enthusiastic about it. It was after some hours of gameplaying when I started to hate it.

So, if you want to call me lier, ok... But I can swer that this was which happened in my case.

This has been discused before...To make a short brief. MI4 is not totally 3d... The BGs are in 2d, and the characters are in 3d.

3d is not necessarilly evil, Grim Fandango was in "3d" (Same considerations as MI4) and it was great.

The problem with MI4 is that is was basically poor. Do you remember the 3d model for Murray??? How many polygons it had? 4? Amateur fan arts is 10 times better than the art seen in MI4. The story is poor, the bad guy is patethic and how Guybrush and LeChuck are degradated to be just servants of Elaine and Kangoo... Also the puzzles were really stupid (Look at sewer, Mork and Mindy were married in Inky Island, you get the protesic skin and you enter to the ban...) Really stupid.

Well... no need to critic it more, since it killed the AG genre for Lucasarts...

Some people extends this critics to MI3... Dunno, I liked it.

I think me and my significant are in... Sounds really cool! There won' t be illegal to put 20 people in a cabin? Here there are regulations about putting people in flats, not sure about cottages or cabins. Well, you' ll have to be used to this, Darren, AKA Quintaros, Mitteners will ask totally silly thinks, and will be paranoid... Will I need vaccine to go to Canada, Quintaros???

But it's worth of it... ^_^

How could the americans lose the Vietnam war having Patrick Swayze, Rambo and Chuck in their armies?
