General Discussion / Re: 3-d programs

Sounds good, Limp... I am downloading the demo, right now...  :) Also, Moody, Blender is free, looks cool, and has manual in Spanish... I might give it a second opportunity. Thanks for the advices. Looks that the "easy but veeeeeeery good" program I want does not exist yet, I will have to sit, have patience, and learn one of the complicate ones.  :)

P.S: Hey, a new reply by InC, and seems to have good advices too... I will take a look to GMax, as well... I will read a bit of all those programs you named before downloading something else. Thanks, anyway! (Will take a look to Raider' s election as well... thanks for all those names)

General Discussion / 3-d programs

Ok, sorry of this has been asked before (I am quite sure it' s been, but the "search" feature brings million of results) but...

Is there an easy 3-d program? I have tried with google Sketchup, and it' s great! The first minute you get it, you are doing something, it's great for doing sketches to trace over and make 2-d backgrounds... But it's too limited for making "cool looking" 3d backgrounds. I've tried some others, such as blender (I was not able to do a simple line) and true space (easier than blender, but still too difficult...). Is there something as easy as google sketchup... but better? There must be! Any silly 3-d game brings a "good" 3-d program, for example world builder with Company of heroes or the "whatever" (Creature, vehicles, buildings) creator in spore. I think it' s time to bring easy 3-d painting programs to silly people like me.

Thanks.

I think the topic is ok...

And Gera... You just gotta go to wiki and see when the historical period starts, it' s easy :)

I would never do something bad to Ari :)

If Stupot says there is no cover-up, end of discussion.

I have a radio programme about skepticism, and that stupidity of Hercólubus has been voted there as one of the most famous no-senses.  :)

Asimos, the name of that planet is "Hercólobus".

It' s 30 times the size of Jupiter and its gravity can be felt in earth now... It made a crack that, according to the followers of the theory, its 100,000 kms. long.

(Which means that the crack should give two laps to the earth...)  ;D

I must tell that rescueing your former avatar might help to remember you better, Capt. I also remember you vaguely, but I wouldn't tell why... Was it an old man (a castaway?) in a rocking chair?

I will explain my reply, better, again, for the skeptics.

I like that girl... Not because she is gorgeous (she is) but mostly because she seems cool (Actually, what made me see her as "my favourite model" was when, during her divorce, she won some pounds... and went on modelling. She is a person who is proud of being "normal". A non skinny, voluptuous girl who doesn't fit the modeling conventionalisms... and doesn't care.

If you browse the internet propperly (not just looking nude pics of her) you' ll find a lot of personal photos, interviews, thoughs... I' ve reached to the moment when I basically consider her nude pics as gross, and I preffer to collect as much as "Aria' s normal life shoots" as I can. This surpassed the phisical attraction, and I could say that I have a little crush on her.

Why don't I do something about it? Well... because it should be stupid. She is in LA, probably with a relation, (like me!), I don' t know where she lives... People would call me nuts for flying oversees to meet a girl I' ve only seen in photos, and they would probably be right. If I do it and I finally approach her, there would be 99.9% that her reaction was more like the one Pamela Anderson had when she met Borat than a friendly one. The possiblity of a romantic reaction must be something like 0.0000001%.

But if I had a week to live I wouldn't mind of that. I am not one of those who likes to be surrounded be relatives when I am down (I feel I can manage almost all my problems alone, I don't want to pass my sorrow to the ones I love, I consider it shellfishy...) So, I would probably tell nothing about my inminent death, I would say goodbye to all in the best way I could (difficult to do, if you don't really want to say what's  going on...) and I would travel to LA to make me dream come true... I wouldn' t care of the effects, anyway, I was going to die in a week...

Thanks, Indie.  :)

And Prog, I am being honest... I don't really know what else can I do to prove it that saying it again, but if you don't want to believe me, I can't do anything else.

Hey, I received a PM telling me that my reply to this thread was unnappropiate...

I must say, in my deffence, that I didn't saw the initial posts mentioning that the thread was inspired by Indie's grandfather difficult situation. I just took a glance to the posts and saw people replying "I would see the X-files", "I would go out with friends..." And I replied thinking that this was another simply "What would you do if...". Another thread asking for a fast reply, similar to "Which is your favourite Sierra NPC?", for example.

I must apology, but I replied sincerelly... If I had one week, I would really like to have dinner with her. I followed her carreer almost from the beginning, I like her when she does interviews, I like her blog... I find her amusing, pretty and interesting, and, if I had only a week, with nothing to care about the people' s reactions, I would try to make my dream of knowing her come true.

Maybe your grandfather has a weird, apparently silly dream, that can still be accomplished (Dunno... See the sea, see the dvd of that boxing fight he heard in the radio some years ago, eat something cooked by someone...) Hope it helps...

As said in the PM, I replied sincerelly... If your mind is too obtuse to go further, and too dirty to see my reply just as a "try to fuck the pornstar", maybe it's you who have a problem. Call mr. Freud.

That post by Makeout Patrol makes me think that I possible missinterpreted what Miguel is asking...

I understand your position, Ben... I was a little depressed yesterday, sorry.

It' s virtually impossible to know if something is real or truth, unless you have been witness of it (And even so...). But being to many skeptik would convert us in cynicals, and denying EVERYTHING is just silly... So, the trick is to investigate, read as much sources as possible, and apply to all those information the previous expirience and logic.

It is a system that will fail a lot, but it' s better than nothing.

I would like to have dinner with Aria Giovanni...

I think it' s a pun... Nowadays libraries are quiet as cementeries...
