I love people who try to be different.

"Which implies that this guy smurfs love to himslef a lot, because people in this thread has been posting things they can't smurf. but he is different, because he has posted something he smurfs, not just things he can't smurf, and, if he smurfs people who tries to be different, and he has been smurfing to be different in this thread, he smurfes himself, because he's smurfing an example"

Explanation smurfed to you by Brainy smurf.

EDIT: As usual in Farlander, it has no sense and sounds retard.

the roadrunner...

I also hate the grwoing stupidity of Homer Simpson... He is now so stupid that I am really pleased when I see fakes of him killed.

You are right SSH, hitting people is allways despicable... I think that hitting women is specially despicable, because they're usually weaker as men, but the clarify is accepted, I don't want to be a positive sexist.  :)

What you need to do is quickly register your name on Bandname.com or bandreg.com to claim your bandname. ("Duck" is not taken yet -- amazing, amazing!)

I think bandreg.com is free to register a bandname.

Duck is no longer available... I registered it to name after my polka band. thanks for the link Geoff!

Let me see... Here's the collection I have in my bedroom, but I have more in the dinning room. If they're here, is because I think they're more interessant for me than for a familiar audience. The classification (a hard day's night as an Adventure film?), can be discussed...

War films.
The complete "Band of Brothers" series.
Saving private Ryan.
Blackhawk down.
Pearl Harbour (it's about war, love, how to do an inncacurate historical film?)
(Looking for the thin red line)

Adventure films:
Pirates of the Caribbean.
LoTR I.
Matrix.
X-men.
Resident evil.
Deep blue sea.
The Rock.
The recruit.
A hard day's night.
Indy Trilogy.
Gladiator, But Lorena has it now...

Miscellania (Drama/Thriller/Comedy...)
The usual suspects.
Dancing with wolves.
Fight club.
As good as it gets.
Analyze this.
There's something about Mary.

I think you should raise the middle frames like 2 pixels... It's easy, just a cut and paste thingie, and it would make it smoother...

My main point is that kids these days NEED positive role models.

They aren't getting them.

There are positive role models out there.

They're just not considered cool.

And that's simply pathetic.

Edit - and I would much rather my future children listen to songs about love than about drugs and violence and thug-life.  That's a no-brainer.

I agree... let's see: When I was a kid I watched "the Smurfs", "Tintin", Disney and Warner Brothers' stuff, "Heidi"... Now the young people watches "Cow and Chicken", "Dexter's laboratory" and "KND"... I think that the message is not very positive...

I don't really like Rap, all the rythims are the same and I can't really appreciate the most appealing part of them, the lyrics, because the slang they use is too difficult to understand for me.

I like EMINEM in some way because he has some fresh rythims and nice melodies in some movements, but, as I haven't investigated the lyrics deeply, if someone comes telling that he is a moron i couldn't reply...

But, hey! We can blame to Rap that youth preffer to waste their energies in listening the songs and complaining about the World encouraged by the contents of the songs than attempting to make the World better.

I never really liked professional complainers...

I mean, It's ok to complain, "world sucks, Bush sucks, war sucks"... But  make something about it.

I don't say that you should go to a catholic mission in Burundi, but at least do something, aid in the local dining room for poor people, vote against Bush, go to a demostration against the War...

And... that's my complain about Rap... IMO it's harmless, but their followrs are in many cases a bunch of professional complainers.

-"Have you heard the new song of Mr- Demolition Rapman?
-Oh yeah, man, how deep are their lyrics! World sucks! I like the part when he says we should fight for our rights, man!
-Indeed, Brotha'!!! so! Shall we go now to fight for our rights, man?
-No, Brotha! I gotta finish to make this joint!
-You're right, man!"

EDIT: Actually, on second thought, I think that the "laziness" attitude of some youth people was there before they started to get into the Rap, but the Rap is some kind of catalyst... What was before, the egg or the Chicken? Future don't give a damn to some young people because they listen to Rap or they listen Rap because future don't give a damn to them? I can't really answer.

I posted once some pics about that...let me remember:

Remixor=Jeff Goldbum.
Sylpher=Tim Roth.
Andail=Ringo Starr (But I've met him personally, and I must say the resemblance was just in a photo...)

Of course, now we have Goldmund, alike Johnny Deep.

...but I think that the discussion about "how is the world going" has not much to see with the circunstance that the next generations seems to behave strange for us.

I hate ugly avatars... I remember one case, Dath mandarb, whose ugly avatar (the ugly boy of the Goonies film) hid ther fact that he was very collaborative in Crits Lounge and in many other aspects about the community... Same with Minimi's ugly Michelin head (and yes, the Ceasar's face was not very nice neither...(IMO))

I am not saying that I wouldn't be able to respect people with ugly avatars, DM, for instance, has allways been a buddie... But they're definitelly like an... argh! :P

Next time you may want too be sure you keep your windows update up to date, run firewall, and make sure your virus defintions are up to date, if there not you antivirus is useless.... I notice the only time I get problems like that is when I get careless and dont update for a month.... And if your computer was infected all the files you copy to your DVD disc are just gonna infect your computer yet again when you load them in, make sure your antivirus is uptodate before loading them back in and do a scan on them before pulling them of the cd.....

Yes! That's just what minimi said to one guy who loosed a 1-year work by a virus! Poetical justice? No... Minimi is starting to seem cool to me, I feel sorry for him and...

And I hate those viruses...  >:(

I'm still bemused by people taking GF and EMI as examples of 3d games.

They have polygoned characters, but apart from that, there's little difference from what's called 2d games. The backgrounds are still pre rendered.

Unless you include keyboard control.

Does that mean Space Quest is 3d? i know it was advertised that way, but do these people consider it 3d then?
And unlike the early Sierra games, GF and EMI don't require you to hide behind something, which gives meaning to the 3d epiphet.

Now GK3 and UAKM, which are both largely considered awesome, they're 3d.

Lesson, people are stupid.

But I guess if we're talking purely graphical quality, any polygoned game in existence is suitable to discuss the quality of 3d graphics, not just adventure ones. Are there any differences as to how to render a model because in one game you'll be shooting and in another you'll be talking?

Excuse me, I didn't want to upset you...  :'(

As DG said, some people made great things while high, world would be less pretty without Sgt. Pepper's, Abbey, Cuckoo's nest and Easy Rider.

But this people finally relaxed their "experiments" with drugs... Paul never was too happy about LSD, and George abandoned it in 68... I can't be sure of Ringo, but well... Ringo never was that good.

John Lennon had severall problems with it, I don't know if he finally abandoned the cocaine, but I think it was a serious abstacle for his work in the 70ies.

Same for Jimmy Kahn and Dennis Hopper, for example...

So... drugs can't be "totally evil", they must have something good... But it's been proven that they can be a problem if overused. That's why drugs has caused such problems in Hollywood, the famous and rich people just don't care of paying money for drugs, like we "average people" do.

A "cigarette of the laugh" once in a time is not bad... But you must be mature and smart to see the danger and relax if the things become dangerous.

I agree with Daniel, if my attitude in front of drugs has been so firm in this thread is because I've also seen a lot of shit by overusing it.

And of course... the first step on the ladder of having serious problems with drugs starts, IMO, with pot.
