I hope I could help you, but nope...

BTW, isn't a little bit strange to look for prehistorical cartridges having that good emulators in the internet? I'm not very into that word, but I remember a friend of mine had some "dragon Ball" cartridges in NES (or SNES? yes, more likely...) and they look very similar  to the ones I remember if played in a good emu....

Being drunk at 15 is silly. It's just setting yourself up to become an alcoholic.

YES - I KNOW THAT'S NOT NECESSARILY TRUE...

but you're body gets accustomed to alcohol. To start training it from the day your 15 means that by the time your 75 you'll be drinking your bodyweight in vodka to get pissed... (note: also a prime example of exaggeration, although with a serious element of truth in it)

In my country that's not silly... it's just...  usual/common.

And I consider it quite logical...

Vomiting 3 times in a night when you're 17 makes you consider if you want to be that kind of adult... It is a good idea to catch most of the haddocks you're going to catch during your life when you're young and have no driving license...

And come on... I am not saying I was an alcoholic, drunk every weekend... I just wanted to have some laughs, I drunk 3 or 4 whiskies during the whole night...

(There was also time for big records, like 17 shoots of licour in a row, wow!)

When are you going to drink if not when being 15-18 years old? When being 20-30, married and with a job? No... And I don't think I'm an exceptional example, actually, my former weekend-party mates do not go to party or drink, nowadays...

Maybe you feel "weak" ( Sorry, I can't find the correct English word, but It's not "weak", mate... ;)) and think that if you get used to alcohol when yu're too young, you're going to become an alcoholic, but I don't feel that, nor 90% of the people of my generation in my country.

OSC: At least in my case, I never drunk so much as when I was 15.

Let me explain myself... If someone would be able to guarant me that killing Yassin is not going to bring more Jewish deads than not killing them, I would sign for it, as I don't see a big moral problem for killing that *** ** * *****.

Thanks for minding it Chris, I just want to apology because I thought it was just simply as downloading the graphic filter program and run the game.

I know there are ranks here (^_^), and petitions of implementions must be done in other place, but I just didn't knew this was an implemention...
#3613
Yes Creed, something like that...

And I totally agree with your previous post... We must tell people that drugs are not the evil they showed us... They can be fun and all that, and yeah, you can be addicted in some way and not noticing any special major damage in your body (Which the anti-drug advertisement claim) but we must be sure to make people know that the damage will finally come...

When young people who thinks that they're going to ve killed by the first dosis, gather "valour" to test it, and realise that we haven't been telling them all the thruth, they believe that all we said was a lie and drugs will NEVER hurt them... no!
#3614
Lol! I was making the edit before seeing Vel's reply...

I quite agree, specially with the marihuana stuff... I am not an anti-drug zealot, I think that a "cigarette of the laugh" in one party is acceptable, once a year (Ok, once a month) it's ok, but I think that spending money (and health) in that is not the answer.

Do you want to have a monthly budget for spending it in "non-politically-correct-stuff"? Buy games, your parents will probably won't be happy about it.

My father told it to me in an easy way... (changing a little bit of topic)...
-two packs of cigarettes per day, let's say... 5 bucks? 5 bucks per 35 bucks a week... Well, it's 1,825 bucks per year...

I choosed cycling... It's cheaper, as a carbon bicycle can last forever and costs just about 6,000 bucks... and healthier.

People must be explained this way, so, the intellect works. If things are just forbidden, the rebel instinct wins to the brain, IMO.

Freedom is not the problem, it's much a problem of education, I guess...

I preffer to grow in a country, having the right of become a wanker, and freely choosen not to be it, than growing in a country were being a wanker is not allowed...  :-\

EDIT: and I think I should define wanker... A lazy young person who watches "Cow and chicken?" all the day, has a bad relation with his/her parents, does not study or work, gets fatter in a sofa, smoking marihuana... You know what I mean.

Truly, this was not directed to any AGSer...

Just to avoid missunderstandings.  :)
#3616
I find this a little silly too... I mean... must all the AGSers compulsory love Grim Fandango? I didn't liked it that much... If we want to deffend the AG genre we should vote for the most popular one (MI2), but this would incur into controversy again, as there must be people who dislike MI2 (Helm and Vel, for giving two quick examples).

I don't see the list of that page that unfair... I liked Kotor, and I still play starcraft, I think it's the best strategy game ever, and that must be mentioned too... I don't really agree with the Unreal Tournament thingie, if they want to honour the shoot'em up genre, they'd gone for Counter Strike, the most popluar IMO, but hey... I don't like that genre...

We must be happy because a 7/8? old adventure game has got all that votes... just that.

Kids now-a-days have no good role models.

They have MTV and the pop music culture.

It teaches the guys to be wanna-be-thugs who think they're tough guys and disrespective of woman.

And teaches the little girls to dress like whores and walk around with their butts hangin' out of their pants.

It's pathetic.

I agree with the comment about the parents.

My only hope is that when these kids grow up they'll realize how stupid that life style is and come around.  But it's unlikely ...

The future is doomed.

That's why our generation is so cool, we grew up with the smurfs.  :)

Sorry if I piss it off, I haven't downloaded the tutorial, I'm quite busy, I don't want to say anything inaccurate but... It seems that it works! Whereas I was not very happy with your previous work, this background looks very very acceptable, good work.

If it can help any other newbies to improve the style as it worked for you, I would recommend it a lot.
#3619
Thanks Eric, that was just what I was looking for.... actually, seems that I did already found it, as I posted a lot in that previous post, but I can't remember, I think it probably happened before my hit in the head...

And Ben, no need to be that harsh ^_^ I do hate the old filters too, but this new X3 looks terrific, in my oppinion... And, as I said in first term, you can allways leave the game as they are. I am not saying that we should implement a compulsory feature to turn all AGS games into a scaled versions, I just wanted to have that option.

EDIT: So, If we want that option we should ask CJ to implement that possibility in some way? If so, sorry, this thread should have gone directly to the "Pliz CJ implement thiz" link...

We (at least me) can't criticise really if you don't explain something about the character, personality, age, its role in the plot... Tell me something about him and I'll do my best to tell you how can you improve it.  ;)
