Hello people... Sorry about the delay, but my poor comp has dead and I'm writing from dad's...

I think that my computer will have a special appearance in Sully's "The dead walk" as the zombie computer... ;D

I don't see that the big shoes spoil the whole graphics actually... maybe they're a little too big, but I don't want to make them totally realistic, notice that the legs are also too big for the body.

BTW, I'll take a look to the whole animation as soon as I'll re-install the backup of my files in my reborn comp. Removing 3 or 4 pixels won't be a problem, specially considering that the main character has a vital importance in the feeling of the game.

And yes... This game is aimed to be a memorial of the good old Indy games, so, laberinths and fights, my friends...

My idea is to make a whole section with the graphic reference of the well known Darth's Mandarb "JP and Cosmo", actually, but he will have to agree, as he is the co-director.

No gunfights, as one of the main characteristic of Arizona is not using gun or wig. This is not a complete parody of Herr Jones.  :)

And don't be too excited about the game... the scheduled release is for X-mas 2005. :o

Yup, but aparently there were two writing activities and I felt that I had no right to start it in comprtitions and activities forum. Now I offer my help to LGM if he wants to host this new activity.

I see a tecnical problem... If there is a monthy contest... there will be, how many, 15, 20, one-page entries? Who will read all that stuff?

I'd rather preffer the travelling-tale concept. One week to submit the names of the people who want to participate and then, the "keeper" makes a draw to decide who can continue the story...

My vote goes for a gently demmanding or removing the larger signatures, and see how the people responds...

I am quite sure that everybody will understand that it is better to be considered as a cool AGSer who helps the others the navigate easily through the forums  than a crappy AGSer with a cool signature.

If the people don't understand this... I'll be dissapointed... and I'll vote for the restriction.

I think there is only oneword for this: CUTE! :)

Good luck...

Just one question... is it an edit of Van Gogh's "my room"?

Sorry for not c+cing... I just can't ^_^ I'd maybe do the colours brighter, but many people can dissagre in this point...

Haddas: Bruised has such a record of tastefull entries that a exploding "blockohead" just doesn't count ^_^.

Goldmund said it: Somebody has problems with big signatures... not with their content, nor with their message... is is jut a matter of browsing faster.

If there is people who can't respect that, for me that people won't deserve any respect from that people who has browser problems... simply and clear...

Jet X.L., if you just can't swallow your pride and remove that stupid gif to help Blazej (Goldmund, the guy who you met in Sweden, the one with the strange haircut, remember?) you'll earn a -10 in my respectometer.

Edit: Same for you lost traveler... Can't you just make that HUUUge sign in a little and clean pixel art??? Why high definition to make an animation pretending to seem like an old video game???  ???
#3728
Yup... Screenshots are cool ^_^... BTW, there was a famous game by delphine software (?) Called Another world, I don't know if you knew that, maybe you'll want to change the name?

P.S. AGS is IMO for people developing games, not necessarilly for people who has finished games, so, don't be so shy and post more if you want.

Welcome to the community.

Jet X.L. This is not a discussion about freedom... let me explain to you in a easy way:

EXAMPLE: Let's suppose I have the right to poke somebody in the eye...

1) If I poke somebody in the eye, I annoy him.

2) If he gently demmands me to stop I can make two things:

a)Stop or b)not.

a) If I stop, even loosing the fun I was getting, I'll show that I've been mature and a good friend who can life according to stablished community rules.

b) If I don't, even just doing it to show the powerful of the right of freedom, I wouldn't have any right to answer if the annoyed person tells to me: "Fuck you stupid inmature moron".

I am not saying that to you, but have in mind that if you keep that sign when people has GENTLY told you to PLEASE remove it, you'll earned some enemysties, people will have all the right to it.

I even liked that boobs! but we're not discussing that... we're discussing if we're enough mature to cut our right of freedom when some members of the community gently demmand it.

As uncle Ben said once: You don't need to do something just for the fact that you CAN do it.

A great power brings a great responsability.

I think I start to understand the "Moderatorism"! :D

Shouldn't this post go on the "Big list of programs" thread or in your previous Thread about free paintng program?  ??? You can edit the headlines of the threads you start...

I think Mr. Colossal has the final word...   :)

HADDAS IS TEH DIPLOMAT!!!11!

Just kidding ^_^

Hot... this is just a two frames animation, you should make the animation slower to make it seem a walkcicle...  :-\

BTW... there won't be miracle, and you won't get the feeling of motion with two frames, unless you use this sprite in some very concise games (I.E. a copy old the olf gameboys RPG, which used this 2-frames animations...)

OH, come on Jet! People said that this signature pisses them off, it is just a silly gif, not a state of the art which deserves such attention...  :P
#3733
Apollogies accepted, ( ;)) but have in mind that your tonge is "too quickly" and you launch your poison too soon, I haven't been the first to receive (remember DG) and such attitude is not the one supposed to be had by a young christian.

And remember what I have said before... If I criticise you is because I think that you have cap room to improve, you should take the attention I pay to you as a compliment. :(
#3734
I just posted that I didn't knew how much of the image was work of Minimi and how much wasn't...
#3735
Actually... I edited as soon as I saw that you posted the original photo, which makes easier to see the process.

BTW... i don't think that I am seen as a harsh critic  ???

When I don't like something, I don't usually post if I think that no criticism would help to improve the image...

But your case is different, because, while people post in a sensible way, I have the impression that you like to post very early states of your work.

Critics Lounge has to be used to improve your art. When you're stucked while producing something, post here and we will try to help, but don't post here THINGS THAT YOU CAN IMPROVE WITHOUT OUR HELP.

That goes againt the rules and the thread that Andail started some months ago, complaining that the first page of the critics lounge was full of post less old than one day.

So... post more elaborate art.

(P.S. don't order me to shut the fuck up again, ok? I'll care less this time, but don't do it again, I'm too much for you)

General Discussion / Re:Let's get lucid

The worst dream of all: Dreaming with something completely amazing... And forget what it was when you awake up!!!

I once dreamed that Beethoven and Mozard where at heaven and they had to compose a song for God. They did it and I remember that I felt something completely amazed.

But I forgott the tune :(
#3737
This is just a lot of filters... I am not really sure if it deserves our attention, or criticism, as it's been you who has said this this has been just a few minutes work... :P

Anyway, the other major reason for me not going on with lucid dreaming is that I like to pay more attention to living in real world. Basically, you can have great sensations when on computer, or watching a movie or a dream. But for me, it's important that the feeling is 'real' in that fashion. But that's just me and this might not apply to others at all. And I mean the not being able to do stuff awake when you can do it asleep part.

My experience says that for recognising that a dream is a dream (And then, make it "lucid") you must be very aware in the "awaken" time, because many times the dreams are located in real places with things "that seem to be out of tune".

That's why you must be very aware. That's why I like the periods when I can have that dreams... But I can understand Pessi's feelings, as dreams are something very personal and every person can experience them in different ways.

People can make long posts trying to convince you... :o

Some other times they can with just a sentence... ::)

RickJ says that large sigs are a problem for him... :-[

I don't want to bother RickJ. :)

I've changed my signature. 8)

AGS Games in Production / Re:AGS MiniGolf
Thu 26/02/2004 15:16:54
I made another course following Darth Mandarb's style, which rocks....

It is called: Arizona Scott and the twin-designed slope.

It matches in the "future AGS games" cathegory.

As the name says, the main difficulty are two twin slopes, and I think the pair could be 4.

Here is a shot in Gif:

And here is the *.bmp that the creator will have to download to make me the honour of including the course, if proceed...

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/MinoGolfArizona.bmp

P.S. Yes... I wrote "minogolf" when I saved the files  :P

P.S.S. Lol... I'm with stupid! ;D
