Mmmm... I don´t really want to loss any member of the community under any circumstance  :-\

I have been weak before, and I wanted CJ to ban kikme, Mitar and Phil (If he annoys somebody again)... THAT´S why CJ is the creator and I am just a mere user  :). That´s why I wouldn´t like to be a moderator, I get easily annoyed.

We can take some lesson... Let´s use PM´s, a nice way to avoid awful situations...

My oppinion is that Yufster pushed this situation too much  :-\ Please Yufs... take it easy, don´t commit the same mistake that I have made before... It is fucking easy to ignore somebody if he easily annoys you. Same to the others.

I loved that screen, when I fist saw it and this new edit... In fact, I wanted to do that style, but after some attempts I give up, so... I think I can just encourage you, this looks very fine.

(P.S. PSP is cheap and easy to learn  ;) )

That's coooooool... Make sure to do some graphics in that style for me, Arizona Scott will need them...  ;)

I see nothing bad with using photos... Some people can think that this means lack of imagination, but I pick most of the times a lot of pics to make a composition.... In this very case it was unnecessary, as Spielberg did it for me  ;D

But my oppinion is that making a game can be overwhelming... You must be aware of the music, animation, script and providing the rest of the atmosphere with the graphics... We can´t blame nobody for making the game production easier with some references.

Ah! Welcome back Moresco, and vote for me in the foregos! ;)

"The corner of the lazy student.com" is the translation of the equivalent of that site in Spain...  A good idea that didn´t worked for one simply reason... If ALL the people who enters there are lazy people looking for previous made works...  nobody uploads NEW WORKS!!! So... the page had to close because of lack of entries...

Anyway, Spain is a country with a lot of lazy young people... We´re the first generation after the dictadure, I guess we can still be lazy for one generation... or two... Before the country goes off... :-\

I have to concur with Peter, as 28 days has been the film which has scared me most in many time. And there is a scene which spoils all the plot:

Spoiler
The taxi in the tunnel... and how the taxi crawls all that pile of broken cars... It´s so stupid, and impossible according to the most elemental laws of the motion...
[close]

Maybe it´s  because of the stupidity of the situation which totally spoiled that part.

But well... I totally agree with the "realism strikes fear" sentence. As I said, saving private Ryan scared me a lot...

*fixed your hide tags, farl

Yup... I´ve been aware of most of the things you said, the hair and the costume. Of course, as Indy, Arizona will have to wear two diferent costumes, one for "camp" and another one for "campus". I think I´ll also draw two heads, one with the brushed hair (greased, maybe, as in the 40es people had long hair, actually, but greased).

Great picture, though... I´ll add them to my photo-reference folder (It is pretty filled now, air bases pics, jackets, cities...)

Thanks.  ;)

Edit: Gotcha! Maybe the boots have more sense now?  this will be for the university rooms...

She is Welsh, (Maybe AGA´s nun, in a future? ;)) And he is not the tipycal archeology study... He is the favourite pupil of Indiana Jones! :)

I will make clear in the game somewhere that he is as good sportman as student, I think...

Happy Birthday Grundislav! And yeah... I also clicked waiting for the Paris Hilton Video... :'(

No need to say more... You´ve perfectly understood the "bulge" problem, I´ll use you edit, thanks.
#3931
Lol... Big brother, I was not talking of muscles, I was talking that the left shoulder (right in the filpped image with the girl) is to raised and seems like a bulge. I´ll try to fix it.

Darth, I was not very convinced with the shoes, I used them because they worked to make him younger, but I´ll probably use yours. As for the cup, I hope you won´t get in anger if I keep it, as it is a little "cameo" to the cup that the chinese kid (Shorty?) wore in Indiana Jones and the temple of Doom. That means that cups use was generally spreaded, IMO.

And ah! the action is located in summer of 1941, during the battle of Britain.

I concur with the spirit of that... I feel obligated to say sorry, as long as I promised myself not to take any sentence as a direct strike against me...

Sorry...  :-\

Looking to both characters I´ve realised that there is some kind of "bulge" in the chest of the guy... revisitingª
#3934
No... some other people told it in #AGs...

I think that I´m too used to the image to see how malish she seems (Sure that happens to you all sometimes, you paint something and you look to intm and think... It´s cool! After a time, when see it again you think, hey! That´s not so cute as I remember...)

I will take a look after, any suggests for making she more femenine?  :-\
#3935
To her right? (sorry for making this a chat...)

That´s a nice show of you maturity and education. ;D

"You're a fucking idiot if you truly think I insinuated all that."

Very imaginative, BTW...

That reminds me I´ve never seen you in Critics Lounge... Take a look to the characters I am designing... I  really need help, the man looks too similar to Ben and the girl can be improved a lot...

http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=11036&start=20

Hmm, let me think...

The reason why you don't see me in the Critics lounge is because I'm:

a) running a weekly Photoshop competition
b) Working on Stickmen 2
c) Running an Awards ceremony
d) Doing things in real life
e) the owner of the worst art and music skills ever, so why bother going there in the first place???

So... that implies that you think that people can have more skills than the needed to do a background blitz or a game developing theory?

Ok, understood... I guess that his implies that also the people who is working in things that are not related with you (I.E. constructive criticise in Critics lounge) can have the right to post here, isn´t it?

Thank you. Glad to read that. :)

QuoteHe actually posted a review on SCI studio, at the ags forums (not the sci forums), just to "convert" (or something) people to switch.

What the fuck is this??? Scientology or something???

CHRIST YOU WHINING PANSIES!!!

THEY'RE ONLY ADVENTURE GAMES FOR CHRISTSAKE!!!

JUST BECAUSE HE POSTED A REVIEW (That no one took seriously, I might add) OF SCI STUDIO OR WHATEVER THE HELL IT WAS, DOESN'T MEAN HE'S THE EVIL GRINCH READY TO STEAL ALL OUR FORUM MEMBERS!!! (AND EVEN IF HE DID, OH MY HOLY GOD WOULDN'T THAT BE A TRAGEDY -- I'LL BE CRYING IN MY SLEEP FOR YEARS TO COME CAUSE, YOU KNOW, MY WHOLE EXISTENCE IS BASED ON THIS FORUM!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!)

CHIRST, IF PEOPLE FIND A BETTER ENGINE THAN AGS, TELL ME ABOUT IT -- I'LL BE GLAD TO USE IT!!!

BUT NO ONE TOOK IT SERIOUSLY FOR SEVERAL REASONS:

a) EVERYONE KNOW THE TECHNOLOGICAL LIMITS OF SCI STUDIO ANYWAY
b) IT IS ACTUALLY POSSIBLE TO BE A MEMBER OF TWO ENGINE FORUMS (HOLY SHIT, NO WAY!!!)
b) THEY'E ONLY ADVENTURE GAME ENGINES, NOT THE HOLY FUCKING GRAIL

NOW CUT THIS STUPID SHIT PLEASE!!!

Jesus, why do you have to hold a grude over something as stupid as AN ADVENTURE GAME POST?!?

Now piss off the lot of you!!

Go on -- get out of this thread!!

Go do an entry in Background Blitz or add your opinion to Game Development Theory!

Do something other that whine and bitch about a stupid little ADVENTURE GAME FORUM POST!

It make me so sick when people waste their time with shit like this when they could be doing something constructive!

That reminds me I´ve never seen you in Critics Lounge... Take a look to the characters I am designing... I  really need help, the man looks too similar to Ben and the girl can be improved a lot...

Well... Here is the female character of the game... As you can notice, she is a disgusting rip-off of Sophia Hapgood, because all you know that I am a mediocre artist...  ;D Just kidding, really... Criticise, if possible, it´s pose and it´s body, as many changes can be made in the clothes (My girlfriend is the costume director, and I´m under her thumb... :P)

Have in mind that she is pretty unfinished, (hands, boots... ) just tell me your first impressions...

DG, if your way of avoiding a flame war is to take note on every word on my posts (Helm, in this case) I think you´re "a little bit" wrong.

I said "Helm" because I consider him my friend (I´ve met him personally, you know?), and if he comes back to post actively that should be an inmense motive of joy for me.

Don´t take all in a so personal way boy, I never refered to you when I refered to the AGSers who are giving this (IMO) strange wellcome back to Phil, I just wanted to point something.

Don´t be so focused on my, ok? I am overwhelmed :P
