General Discussion / Re:Monkey 4

Re read my post and see that my post was refered to LGM, not you. In addition, my wish wan´t to say how crappy MI4 was (again), but LGM says that the game is good. That´s why I´ve posted  my reasons to say it´s bad. Now he can say his reasons to ensure it is good, and we will be friends at the end, as usuall. That´s  discussion, and this is a general discussion forum, I had understood...

Edit: Anyway, I´ve received a casual PM from Pessi... talking a little bit of all he mentioned that I´ve posibly been to harsh, I don´t want that, neither... I think we should finish this MI4 discussion now, but, as I had one post of advantage, flame me and we´ll be in peace ^_^.

You´re quite mature mature for your age Trapezoid, but when you call somebody dork because they say Monkey Island 4 sucks (It does) it makes me think that this maturity is just a mask.  :P

Edit: IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS!!!  ;D

It calls you stupid because you´re posting a *bmp. A gif would do the work, as your design has less than 256 colours.

I think that MI4 killed the Graphic Adventure Genre. If I could re-live my life, I wouldn´t play MI4. You´re lucky, man.

Excuse me, the trilogy is not very well known in Spain: Tremors is that film where some kind of giant slugs eat people? Starred by Kevin Bacon? If so,I liked (I was not superultraoverpleased, but...) the first one...

Or course... a loooong shadow after the car will help to give the impresson that the sun is setting.
#3988
I wouldn't like it, because I usually hate anything that has been object of devotion by fanatic teens.   ;D

Minimi... very constructive... Sure Dan hasn´t posted here to receive lessons of you  :P

6)Same here... Me angry eating some crappy dessert... My father in law had eaten my puddin'.

I'd like to hear anyone tell me a game with deeper plot, or more intuitive interface. The music is really IMO, and the graphics are rather average, but this game is the most immersive one I have played (and I have played quite a few). Oh, and three more words: Le Serpent Rogue.

Ohhh... You don't understand it, do you? The deep of the plot is a matter of the player. The inmersion the game gets has to see also with the player.

Why do I need to say a game with deeper plot? Who are you to say that bring back two friends from the past and the future is more superficial than you beloved Gabriel Knight's plot?

Trapezoid is right, everyone here posted its favourite, but you express your oppinion like a unique thruth... I guess there's nothing we can do... I'm tired of this. argh...

:P

Gabriel Knight III: Blood of the sacred, Blood of the damned. No doubt about it - the deepest plot, the best soundtrack, the best interface.

In your oppinion, I suppose...

Hey Farlander, why not use 13th century English music if the bands you suggest are simply inspired by 13th century English music?

It's not like the music Ghormak linked to was actually recorded six centuries ago.   :)

Sure... I was not saying that your option, or Ghormak´s option is worst than mine, I just pointed where can Petter look for if he can´t find "real" old music.

:)

I was not suggesting him to buy the flisntones soundtrack... but... shit...

IT SHOULD BE FUCKING FUNNY PETTER!!11! DO IT!!1

DG is right... there is no need to use ancient music, just something which sounds "old"...

I would strongly recommend the Jurassic Park soundtrack, some "not very know" pieces of it, if you put the "dino´s" music it could sound ridiculous.

There are also some other classical pieces used in films, some of them in prehistoric scenes (2001, space odyssey), or some music used in thrillers, which can give the athmosphere you´re looking for. I remember one song used in "The shining" I can´t remeber it´s name, but it was terrific.

Maybe it´s the 6th track.

Dispite this seems interesting... My idea was not to use any alphabetical order to decide who would go on with the tale... Besides, Michael Ende used this tecnique in "Neverending Story", every chapter started with its correspondent letter on the Alphabet.
#3998
Jack... the surnames do follow an alphabetical order
(ARansay, AYala, Baldó, Caballero...)

;) got it?

Welcome Babloyi. You enter directly in the "A team" due to lack of entusiams some of the people I was thinking in...
