Sometimes I´m still amazed by the little icons of windows, they´re so cute, so small,and they use the "pixel gradient" that I love so much in a so lovely way...  ^_^

Here are some examples of what I am talking about.



You´ll have to imagine a new icon for some new program, and draw it. Be as humouristic as you can, so my recommendation is to say in who´s desktop we could find that program.

Example:


The George Bush desktop icon to acced to the U.S. Nuclear launching program.

Restrictions: 80x80, use my "windows green" as the colour for the background, the Icon must have the letters and the arrow of a direct access. Of course, don´t cut and paste any other elements than the letters and the arrows.

"Realism" in the painting of the sprites will be appreciated, but be as crazier as you can imagining the programs!

Well... maybe this posrt break one rule or two, I don´t know, I´m not a moderator, and this is not my duty here... But Sellyourbaby has posted in a very polite way, and I would help him if I had enough idea of scripting (Duties for 2004: Learn to script).

Anyway... You must understand that this is not example Sellyourbaby... Imagine that every newbie stucked in the production of his game do this  . This forum would become a mess!

I havn´t seen it yet, first point (I´ll see it on monday 17th December, cos seems impossible to get a ticket for the weekend) But I´ve read the book, and Reading that Saruman won´t appear has been quite shoking... IMO, the fall of Saruman is a very important part of the book.

I don´t  agree with Bruised because for me, the two previous films have been examples of a good use of the Digital effects, but I agree in some way in the "spirit" of her post. Digital effects somethimes make that something seems to "spare" in the film. I remember how dissapointing was "Jar Jar Binks" because their articulations, their movmements, their skin shape was too artificial, their robe was also "plastic". The excuse that he was an alien and we can´t use the standard of animals of the Earth is not valid for me. Same for Jabba the Jutt... He was supposed to be a huge crawling animal, clumsy when moving in the Earth. They could have get a realistic movement if they had inspired in something familiat, like the movement of a walrus or a seal, but they invented some kind of "worm" movement that resulted strange.

Also with Spiderman... their movements were too "plastics"... Have you seen Ocean´s eleven? there is an acrobat that the thieves use for robbering... his jumps for avoiding the lasers beams are spectacular, but the best of all is that they look real.

They´re just two examples. And it´s my oppinion.  

I think that the rigth leg comes back too fast... probably the missing frame it´s there, I´ll revisit it...

The last seasons of Futurama were shit as well, it's probably contagious.

I´ve just seen the first two... Well... It is a relief to see that they´ve cancelled a "not so good" show.

Yeah! I used AGS smileys, I thought it was funny... Even so, nobody can blame me, I think that the most difficult part of the sprite was the hands and the cat, and they´ve been made by me.

I think it's a real shame when Futurama gets cancelled after four awesome series, and The Simpsons continues without being particularly great anymore.

Indeed... Since Futurama was cancelled I see Homer as the flubby bastard who killed nibbler... I hope that he fat he eats make him die soon.  

I really like them... If you were wondering if the sprites are good, or it is just you who thinks that they´re good... THEY´RE GOOD!

One point I'd like to make, that really has nothing to do with saddam, I think....Do all the people that blame bush for the economy really think it goes bad in just a couple of years? Isn't it more likely that it was screwed up in the first place? Say with the last president?

Another thing that I want to add is that now Bush is blamed for being guilty of having armed Saddam and all that... But let´s remember that it was another president (Reagan?) who did it. That´s so fucking obvious... but sometimes it seems that we forget it.

In fact, Bush can be an arse and all that stuff, but he removed two tyrans of the power, things that no previous president has done since Rooselvelt, I think.
