RickJ has opened a debate in a very polite way, thanks Rick for that, I can think in many people of here who could have started the same topic in a very different way  ;D.

If you want my opinnion, it should be a good idea to put a limit to the sizes of the signature, but I can´t really recall one of that "big and annoying" signatures... I dunno, maybe this thread will be enough or Rick, couldn´t you PM to that person(people) whose signature(s) is(are) too big?

I am testing this stuff now... If it is some kind of virus or something strange, like a solidus software trojan I´ll kill ya, ok?  ;D

I am also looking for a song... It´s been used by Playstation in a TV advertisement... Tons of people start to make a human pyramid to imitate the shape of a famous building in Sao Paulo or some other Brasilian city. Maybe it´s a song used only in Spain, but I suposse not. The song is very silly, sung by a little girl, sounds like very old, maybe sung by Shirley Temple or something. The lyrics repeat something like "Get on board! get on board!"

Someone can help me? Thanks. :)

I can´t really choose between one and other... >:(

But looking closely, I see the only "black spot" in this animation (The only and unique, IMHO :)) is the black blob supossed to be the shoes´ soles... I think it´s  too big, whereas the movement of the leg is not enough radikal to show all that sole. What do you think, guys?
#4165
Yes, the second version is an improvment, with the "motion" hut... But there is something strange in the right arm, specially when it´s almost completely back. The two final frames are irregular, I suposse that´s what Mr. Col was talking about.

I love it, anyway...  Tintín and the Surfs were two of my favourite characters. The little I know to drae now is thanks to my early attempts to copythe  Hergé´s or Smurfs´comics. You can imagine the feelings that seeing smurfs again bring to me.  :)

Loom was clever, innovative, and stand-alone, definitely top ten on my list.

I don't think that anyone could make a sequel (or prequel) with comparative story or execution.

The story doesn't really have room for a sequel anyways.

Just out of curiousity, has everyone played the 256 color VGA version? Outstanding.

Ditto all... Loom is not very loved by the mass publis, but I really loved the athmosphere, and the VGA version is supperb.

I thought on doing a sequel, but I don´t really know to copy the early 90´s Lucas style... BTW, I have the storyline somewhere, if anybody is interested...

General Discussion / Re:Horror Films

Well... I must say that I´m not very into the "classics" (Hitchcock´s, Wes Craven´s, The Exorcist and Potergeist are some examples of good movies I should see...) I remember "shocker"... The shocker was some kind of killer that lived in the energy net... There was a supperb scene where the main characters gets away from him in a TV where somebody is doing "zapping", the prosecution goes to the news in middle orient to the second war world... nice.

I can only talk of the "new wave" of horror films (I know what you did last Summer, Scream...) Both are, if I remember well, films of killers, that thay don´t scare me. The killer has chances just because the guys are stupid. Why don´t they remain together and kill the murder? An scene with all the teenagers crushing the old fishermen of "I know what you did..." should be funny.

Let´s talk about "supernatural" films. The house of the haunted hill, bah... The haunt... good athmosphere, but it didn´t scare me, but I enjoyed with the sweet Geoffrey Rush perrformance.

I liked "signs"... specially when the first alien appearson that brasilian birthday party footage. I love how that indian director puts a big surprise in every film ending. The prophetic revelation of the mother before dying was nice, and the house full of water glasses too.

I lover the sixth sense and the unbreakable too (maybe that last one was not a scary movie).

I enjoyed the ring, when the "videoghost" appears, because I really thought that the storyline was over when the corpse of the girl was found.

I liked the "ghost ship film"... Specially with the first scene, and when the ghost reveals how everybody died, accompanied by a nice hard rock tune.

But the most scary movie I´ve ever seen in all my live was "Saving private Ryan". I´m not kidding... all that happened more or less like in the film, no matter how good soldier you were, how brave or how fair your intentions were... Every loosed bulled could have killed you in an horrible way. In that sort of films, Schindler´s list was also horrible, with the scene of the little girl with the red hood, during the prosecutions in the ghettos.

Note by Farl: The dresses are suposes to be made in a strange fashioned material, so, the textures are no problem.  :) We don´t animate them, just test what happens if the put random textures in each frame... Just a test, we´ll say how it results... :)

I´ve seen it... Perfect work Darth!

* Farlander thumbs up!

I really like the style you´re developing, I love that pixelation art...  :o

I am quite good at making a big paint in a goofy style and redoucing it to 300X200... but the detail you get with that iso is lovely.

Keep on it... and ah! I remember you PMed me... If ye wanna my opinion do it in low definition... nostalgia, less pixels (so, more talent needed to express, IMO) and... saves work, High def will take you ages.

Edit: Eeeer... I love it, but I dunno what it is exacly... I suppose it´s very close to what you´re aiming, but I don´t know what is it ???

3. Indy himself is persuaded to use the god machine, resulting in his own death. Hmm... I wonder if this was done as a possibility for players who hated Indiana Jones or are lesbian.

I never really counted this as an ending, more of just a death.  I can remember off the top of my head at least one other place you can die (walking on the plates over the lava), but I don't consider that an ending.

In fact... I always believed that there must be a secret ending when you can as Indy became a God and kill, not only the nazi´s (M0ds spelling) in Atlantis, but also in all the world and finish the World War before it starts... Maybe with 100 orichalcum pieces? I remember only trying with 10 and 1... And plato error was by ten, we don´t know that when he says "Use ten pieces" we must thing "10 /10=1" or "10 X 10= 100"...

I am almost sure it is Dr. Ubbermann...

I dunno who´s "your" Zimmermann, but for me, Henrique Zimmermann is famous sefardí reporter, correspondent for Spain in Israel... :)

I don´t think his grandpa worked for the nazis...  ;D

I actually just finished FOA tonight. She "dies" in the same way you do if you don't follow the right dialog when you are on the platform. You are alone on the sub during the credits if you don't go get her.

Yes... Something like that...  :)
#4175
I am almost sure that she is freed but posessed by Nur ab Sal spirit.

I am also quite sure that the sunset scene has only Indy in it. I think that Sophia is killed in that "version" in some way, she appears at the final room, where the nazis are killed. I think she attempts to switch on the machine and she dies.

Similar to how the girl dies in Indy III. Greedy girls also die!

Dear DG Macphee:

My question is:

Why passed so many time before we realised that this thread is just dirty trick by you to increase your posting figures?  ;D

Well... just one more thing:

Kansas City Chiefs or New England Patriots?  ???

Congrats.

It is known that I ride 20,000 kms each year, so, I can´t be told to be lazy. It is just a matter of choosing.

I dedicate the mornings to the bicycle. The afternoon is for AGS, with the advantage that my girlfriend Lorena is here with me. On monday, wednesday and thursday I must study...

Quite easy. If that does not work, avoid sleeping.
#4179
Eeer... I think she is not actually consumed by lava, she is liberated misteriously (Seems that by Nur-ab-sal power or something...)

Maybe you need to leave the collar on here... I can´t remember well, but I think that everything was intended...

Dear Daniel:

Which part of the egg is needed for making meringue? The clear one or the yellow?

Dear Daniel: Toasts allways fall to the floor with the mermelade side.

Cats allways fall by feet.

What should happen if he attach a toast to a cat´s back?  ???
