I think perspective, that will need a lot of lines and colours, and you can improve the door. You can allways include a painting, a carpet, a tv, light (foot candle or hanging in the roof...)

Even for the better artists in the world is difficult to draw using just imagination. Look at Miez, probably the best Bg creator in the community... He uses photos as a reference. C´mon, raise your ass from the chair and go to your living room to see which elements you can use! :)

Oh, Remixor, N3tgraph... you´re embarrasing me... I am just a mere photoshopper.

Can I be on it!?!?!? PLEASE!
Shitar... You already are in that list for most of the AGSers I´ve asked  :P

I like her nude...  :'(

In fact... This could be one of the first AGS games I would download in ages!
;D

P.S: Sorry mates... I don´t have a lot of time to playing games.

You guys really are acting stupid. You can't just say "well, since 3d killed 2d games, that means 3d sucks balls!" I just---- I'm so pissed at you guys, I just don't know how to describe why.

Are you good to decide who is stupid and who´s not? If so, please change your nickname into "Mitar, the God, the mature man who is over all the opinions of the world, my world is Law"

Do you know the sentences "in my opinion" or "I think that..."?

Please, let me re-write your post:

I agree with Mr. Colossal. The fact that a game has been made in 3-d does not necesarilly mean it is wrong, do you remember Grim Fandango? It was awesome. In my opinion, not giving a chance to 3-d adventures just because of the fact they´re in 3-d is not wise. BTW, even without sharing your opinions, I respect them.

Now... In front of this thread, shitar, you have two chances...

a) Swallow your pride and agree in some way with me or...

b) Facing me and starting a war you couldn´t win.

Do you know that I told M0ds (my friend) that was necessary to give you a warm goodbye when you leaved? Do you remember that I told Femme Fatale that it was not fair to critisice your "paintball game" post being she the queen of the strange threads?

I am trying to be fair with everybody.

Do not face with one of the not many AGSers who defended you.

Your choice.

Here is my oppinion about the latest forum events...

I think both threads are related... I just want to thank you for your actual behavior, mates.

I was walking home thinking on how to post this, and now I see Andail is taking a break, it´s a real pitty, mate.

My intention was to say that with that "Sorry me" thread by Squiky and with Darth´s quick reply the thinks were close to be ok again. The thruth is that I felt the necessity to say something about the latest events, but I hate to admitt that I was not brave enough.

Because I consider Petter my friend, but Darth has been extremely polite with me, helping me with ideas, demanding help to me in private for his sprites, like if I was the best artist in this community, that made me feel very confortable with him. If he has been unpolite with sb, I haven´t noticed it.

But I was not capable to say Andail that in my oppinion, he was wrong.

After all, many of you said that for me, my oppinion was not needed, but I want to apollogize with darth for my coward omission.

And I want to thank you people for fixing that problem, squinky, Andail and Darth... Now I feel so much confortable about the forums that I did last few days.

Enjoy your fishing Petter, I hope to see you again soon.

Mmmm... I am being witness of that "Finish a game before posting" attitude. Sorry, I don´t share it, maybe because I haven´t finished a game  ;D(Well, a Mags...) but I am developing one, which has about 50 rooms, and all the art has been done. I contribute with posting in critics lounge some of my sprites, I try to help if IMO there is a problem with other people´s art, I attended mittens... Please, stop making differences between members using that. I may agree that there is people who uses this GAME CREATORS community for chatting and posting issues not related to the games, I may agree that there must be a way to decide who is contributing to the community and who´s not. M0ds hasn´t published any game at the moment. The respected member Barcik neither... Helm himslef does not consider he has published a "real" game (his words...).

Let´s be serious, that "finish a game" community does not help to the people developing his first game.

And let me remember you that a person, following that "I´ve finished a game" attitude was brave enough to tell to the others that their threads were trash (and that person has a thread called "King of fruits, my ass!"

With the full respect that Mr. Colossal deserves.

Farlander.

Is the Pope in danger?

That guy is never in danger! When I was 5 y.o. I remember my grandmother telling that the Pope was old and he was close to die... 19 years after he´s still here (and my grandmom not)... I suppose that the Vatican has some kind of tecnology to keep him alive. Maybe there are 5 or 6 of him.

BTW... I was very interested in Sybilla when I saw some of the stuff in Mittens... Downloading!

General Discussion / Re:Anger
Sun 10/08/2003 23:08:31
Anger is a natural emotion... and all that stuff has been carefully produced by millions of years of evolution for some reason.

Like the fear, that emotions could seem useful in our nowadays life style, but they work. Imagine a person who does not feel fear. He would be exposed to constant dangers because of his lack of fear. He would cross the road without looking to the sides, he would swimm in brave waters without care... he would finally die.

Imagine a preson without anger. This is not Peter Pan´s world... people would reallise it, and would take benefit of that person´s disavantage. He would loose his place in all the queues because he would kindly offer his place to the other people, he would wait days and days till the tecnician came to fix his air conditioning, which could kill him in that hot summer of the north hemisphere. He wouldn´t be able to fight!

And fighting is many times necessary. I don´t know if you know who is Lance Armstrong. He is a cyclist, the person who I admire most.

He suffered a cancer. He had 10 tumours in his lungs and 2 in his brain. His possibilities to survive were expected in 3%. He defeated the didease. And he has won 5 Tour of France (at the moment) focusing his anger in an only aim, being the best in the world.

He has won the Tour this year after falling of the bike in the last climb of the race, when the second in the general classment was very close to him, at 15 seconds, leading the stage. 10 kms after he won the stage with 55 seconds of advantage.

I want to focus the anger so good as he does.

Natural emotions are bad if taken to their highest expressions. Phobias are bad. Rage is bad. Fear and anger are good.

IMO...

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Re:yeenglish
Sun 10/08/2003 14:20:50
I agree with Bionic Bill in the aspect that if you´re not an English speaker you need to be friend of one who could translate the dialogs. I allways give Scotch my dialogs, and he kindly takes a look to it. I suppose that a error of Grammar in an important scene can spoil the whole game for the English speaker sommunity.

It also works for revisting the style. The Adventura games have a very specific lenguaje. The long diaogs of "Loom" ,for example, may be not suitable for 2003 standarts, and I don´t feel capable to make them more appealing with the nice cinematics of, for example, Full Throttle.

I remember a project I´ve had in mind. It was bout nazis and time travels. I was not able to make the dialogs about the time travel paradexes and all that stuff in a "Game Adventure Style"... So I´ve had to cancel it... while that very same dialogs would be a nice source of possibilities for a novel writer.

Game Adventure dialogs have a very specific Rythim (are the "y" and the "i" well placed?)... A person revisiting the style (and misspelling, of course) Can make the difference between a good and a bad dialog.

And talking about chatting and posting... I think that Brits, Yankies and Aussies are very comprehensive and respectfull about the "non-native English speakers". They know how lucky they´re for talking an "Universal lenguaje", but, maybe because of that, they "admire" us in some way. The "Don´t laugh of the foreign, chap, you are not able to talk a word of their languaje, are you?" feeling is real, IMO.

And about me beeing the target of friendly laughs... If anybody doubted... I am not worried at all  ;D. Nobody blames me, I am not guilty of the stupid anti-anglosaxon feeling that there is in Spain. Here the English education is crap, and, worst of all, there are no chances to practise English between spaniards. Shame on them, for judjing foreign cultures without having any idea of what they´re talking about.

The 6 days I´ve spent in Mittens had been some of the happier in my life... I can´t really say that I succeded in my task of tresspassing the lenguaje barrier, but  I succeded in the most important duty I´ve had in Mittens: I´ve made some of the closest friends I´ll have ever.

I hope to come next year domining the Shakespeare´s lenguaje. If so, I´ll be the Lennon, not just the Ringo, but... What matters if MY FRIENDS make some laughs WITH ME for my misspellings? nothing at all  ;).

Ooops! I would need a bigger image for that. I haven´t reduced that gif at all... If you could provide me one....
#4397
Well... There is a famous film saga whose main character is called Chris Jones, I think... I believe that one guy called Mike Lovegrave is making an adventure game of that, even. It is called something like "Fountain of slug"...

???
#4398

I´ve posted that in another thread (Ignoring Chris´ advises to post things only once...) But it is in the Mittens thread and I want to "compete" in that stuff of the Wallpaper.

Taking benefit of the marketing of the film... The Lord of the Onion Rings AGS wallpaper!!!
#4399
Trapeziod! I see no funeeh in making edits of the annual Chris´ onions photo, ok! >:(

Well... maybe, a little... ;D
