Well, maybe compete not, Jan, but I am allways glad to stop hard training sometimes and enjoy biking with friends.   :)

Let me say that another great aussie rider is Stuart O´Grady.

Well, I suppose that many people knows the correct recipe for dynamite, and, as many people said in this thread, getting the "fight Club" book by Kazaa brings to you the possibility to know even more recipes.

If this thread works as a poll, my vote is that there is no problem with the recipe.

Glad you to notice that 20,000 kms. are a lot. As far as I know, a Jumbo should need refuelling for that, I just need sandwidches ;D.

But you would be ever more surprised when knowing that a professional rides three times that ._.

I encourage all the people (AGSers) to do sport. I am not against non-sportive people, but I´m not very happy about the image of the doughnout-eaters  image that the people has in mind when thinking about programmers.

Well, there´s no need to feel guilty about not sufferig so much as the sportmen do! We´re amateurs, we do it for fun  ;D

I ride 20,000 kms each year, (dunno how many miles ere that...), but, as much as I train, nicer I am with the beginners and the people whose love cycling but can´t gather time to ride the bike.

I don´t know why I said that... maybe for starting a discussion about which are the sports that AGSers play...  :)

Well, Tìmosíty, you Aussies can be proud of that superb sprinter called Robbie McEwen.

I see that the Tour is not followed in many countries, but, as N3t said, there are others which are looking forward all the year for it. Spain, Italy, France and the Low Countries are allways interested in the Tour. Add USA and Germany this past few years and you´ll have a lot of people hooked in front of the TV.

It is a pitty for me that cyclism does not interest people, because I like stamina sports so much as soccer or Basketball (It´s my oppinion, sure many people won´t share it), but trust me, and make the effort to take a look to the high mountain stages, you´ll discover not only a sport of strenght but also a big chess game where tactics (including pretends and risky bets) are common.

With this I mean that the winner of a stage Tour is not just the bastard who attacks at the end, he´s also the smartest, the strenghts are very simillar, so the key is to attack in the adequate moment.

I suppose it will be Armstrong again, but Simoni has shown a lot of strenght in last Giro... I hope we will see a nice show.

He seems to be disguised for running in "Encierros of San Fermín".

Last only 34 days for the Tour of France!

Here in Spain the "Hall cyclists" are very happy because Aitor González (a spanish rider) is going well in time trials, and they think that he will beat Lance Armstrong.

I am an "asphalt cyclist" and that stuff really sick me. The cyclism has allways been a sport about the fight of the human against the nature elements (Slopes, rain, heat...) and in the very case of Lance Armstrong it´s about the fight against disease and for the survival. Why all the spanish (and most of the world) press, puts him down?

I hope that the best rider will win the next tour. I want Armstrong to be the strongest, but there´s no matter for me, because the Tour is a victory for the entire humankind.

Enjoy the Tour.

General Discussion / Re:1000!

Well Quickstrike... For me it´s quite important to reach 1,000, I was looking forward to it last week. With more members, the "posters", the artists and the game producers number will raise.

With a big comunity you do still have the chance to stay in small groups.

The 1000th member is a success for CJ, AGS and the cummunity.

Edit: BTW, 1000th member... If you´re reading this... Welcome!

That´s the point... That girl was not looking for a pick-up line (I suppose, in fact, only Andail knows it...) but I suppose she wasn´t looking for a compliment neither.

That girl was looking for something more shocking like that... I wonder why didn´t Andail get it, because he seems smart and clever. I suppose his mind was blured by the alcohol or something...

I am looking forward for Andail´s posts talking about a second change with that girl... All the AGSers are thrilled by that!!!

Please Andail, get her! We wanna know! The truth is out there!

U´ve now a lot of suggestions... but I fear we don´t still have the good one...

Shit, MonsterShasha, Femme Fatale!

You have made me see the truth!

:o

Men are hotter than girls!!!

:'(

Flippy, I´m engaged... I was just trying to help Andail... But there should have been the words I´d said. ;D
#4613
Then CJ would abandon his human shape and rise to Heaven healed by a chorus of angels, while the AGSers cry... Then Helm would become the first AGS church pope and two thousand years after a crazy integrist AGAST religious should crash two planes in our two biggest towers...

Edit: I don´t want to make fun about terrorist strikes. I hate them. I´m just making a post about how the religion rises from nothing, and then it´s misunderstood by the greedy chuch men.

Oh Yeah!
#4614
Well... I tried to say that I was engaged and I needed to proove if my love to that girl was real...

It didn´t work...
#4615
What about...

"I will tell nothing, baby, but...

Tomorrow it will be you the one who won´t be able to stop thinking about how maravellous could have been the night with me"

?

What do you think? With that, we don´t need to think nothing ingenious and the next decission should have been taken by the girl...

All advantadges, Nacho wins!

Nice poem indeed  :o

Even not written in my mother tongue it´s easily understanding (There are some poems that I can´t understand even in my languaje... :P).

Will you honour us with more of that?
#4618
Mmmm... Harvester, sure the girl should remember that the next day... But the image that I have in my mind is more like a Cameron-Diaz-perfect-girl whose could be deeply fall in love to you for just one sentence... (Sure that the real situation Andail lived has nothing to see with what I have in mind, but let´s imagine...)

Which could have been that magic sentence? Gonzo... Wanna play?

Wow Andail... Last night was in a so weird atmosphere that I am willing to join one of that nights... Let me explain... I am a cyclist whose can´t go thru the nights most of the year  :'( I NEED one of that stange nights that start boring and become weird now... (put "The End" song of the Doors here for giving the appropiate atmosphere to the post...)

I´ve been thinking in joining Mittens for a long time, now I know that I can´t, but the idea of facing a girl with that sort of amazing challenge makes me feel so sorry about couldn´t be able to go...

Imagine how could your life been change if you´d said the right words...
