These are great! Ed's pose is the only thing I see that needs a little work at the moment. Great CB sprites.  ;D

I got rick rolled by YouTube yesterday. That was funny lol.

Nothing really exciting. :(

Also, I thought this site was gone for good. I had adventuregamestudio.co.uk set as my homepage, but it just says "I AM LOVE PIE" now.

There is no exact code or function, as you put it, but there are ways:

1) Try out some games like Platformerius (spelling?). They can give you an idea of how it works.

2) Search for Bernie's platform code. I think it's a little outdated now, but you might get how it works.

I suffer from blocks as well. I have at least 20 uncompleted projects.

I was told, or maybe it was media persuasion, that this is one of the best films out at the moment. The trailer looks absolutely pants. I was ready to give it a go cos L Jackson's in it, but the trailer made me vom. It looks like another crappy SFX mashup. And by the sounds of what you guys are saying, it is!! Sliders 4 eva!1

I still think you should see it.

I love seeing non-adventure games being developed, and this looks awesome! I really like the concept, and look forward to playing it.

It was certainly a good movie and a good concept. I think it should have been longer. The exposition and background was long (and deservingly) and so the main plot didn't have time to develop and was maybe a little rushed. Had the movie been longer there would have been proper time for the background and time for a slower developing plot and more action. I'd like to know more about the origins of this phenomena of the Jumpers and Paladins, what's their origins? how does Jumping happen?  why are the Jumpers usually evil?  How could a Paladin mother a Jumper?  Too many questions left unanswered.
Could a sequel that might explain that be in the horizon?
There could be more action as you say if the movie was longer but I don't think you should be disappointed with the amount of action, because this shouldn't be a generic action movie, this movie is mainly about its unique plot and too much action would hurt the plot's strength. To me it's more interesting what else did he do with this power and the question I wrote above then a few more kicks and jumps and car scenes etc. For me there was another action. If the movie was longer it could have more action alongside better development of the plot, but the action parts aren't the main parts.

One thing that was bad in the plot was that
Spoiler
his mother said he was 5 year old when he first Jumped and then she had to kill him or leave him. Yet in the movie's starting scene when he jumped for apparently the first time he was much older than 5 and it's apparently the first time because of how shocked he was when he ended up in the library. I reckon he would remember it if he done something as amazing when he was 5 until that point he jumped from under the ice. And how come for so many years between that first jump at age 5 and that jump we see in the drowning scene, no jump has happened?  seems absurd

About his first jump:

Spoiler
Maybe he experienced some kind of trauma or pain that kept him from remembering? Again, not explained enough...

The Paladins vs. Jumpers idea was actually pretty cool. You have Paladins, who are religious fanatics according to Rice's friend, who ironically kill Jumpers to stop them from hurting people. This got me thinking that there could be different types of Jumpers, or maybe a defect that makes Jumpers go hostile, or something.

Actors were the worst part. Hayden was an OK choice, but Rachel Bilson seems out of place IMO. Samuel L. Jackson and Jaime Bell stole the whole show however. I loved their parts. Hayden's partner in the movie (who's name I cannot remember) has some funny and witty dialog. He knows more about the jumps, the paladins, everything a Jumper should know.

Roland was pretty vile. Besides, it's Samuel L. Jackson... what's not to like? :D

Has anyone seen the film yet? I watched it yesterday and thought it was pretty average. I liked the idea and all, but they didn't push it enough. There isn't much action in it... but what I did see was pretty good.

Discuss please. :)

I was supposed to compete in Marketing and Keyboarding, but I don't use all of my fingers when I type, and that would have got me disqualified.

Yes I see where that comes from. I jerk off with only four fingers around my ... And people look at me like I was a freak of nature :D

So... Umm... You get to become a leader of America if you can make a MS Word document really fast?

Well no, that's just one of the many areas you can excel at. I also competed in Business Procedures and Business Calculations. I was supposed to compete in Marketing and Keyboarding, but I don't use all of my fingers when I type, and that would have got me disqualified. I got taken out of marketing because there was someone in my group who could do it better, and he did. He got 1st. :)

All in all, we took, as a group, 32 awards.

I'm so happy you've revived this! If it's anything like Starcraft or Warcraft II, I'll be hooked for a long, long time.

The Future Business Leaders of America.

We never really had anything like that here, though various business industry "meet and greet"/one day conference-type gatherings are usually held for students making the transition from school to college, who have an interest in, or look likely to excel in, business related areas.

Well done for placing 3rd. :)

Thanks. :)

I should have spelt out FBLA. Now I have to read what comes out of your twisted minds. ;)

No, but you should consider joining.  :=

I have been for a little while now, but it was today that I actually competed at a nearby college called USC, the Utica School of Commerce.

I placed 3rd in Word Processing II, which is making 7 documents with Microsoft Word with a certain time limit.

I was wondering if anyone else is in the FBLA?
