I got the first scene of the arcada from SQ1 up and running in unity, and yes im looking to maybe port to unreal 4. This is the latest...

You can walk look and use items now. (No smell or Taste as of yet lol)
Did you ever see the first person Arcadia someone made in Doom 3?

So long as your contract with Ubi doesn't get you into trouble, cadeultra3. Definitely think an UE4-powered HD remake of Space Quest 3 would be a glorious sight.

I think this is somewhat relevant to this thread - http://www.intfiction.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4=15699 - just a little curiosity about Planetfall 2.

Woah, as soon as I saw the screenshots, I was like

"BEN CHANDLER UP IN HEEERRREEE" :cheesy: oh yah (nod)

Seriously, this guy is my pixel art inspiration. When I get good at pixel art one day, I wanna be Ben Chandler good. How did you get him on board??
Because the game is being published by Wadjet Eye, and Ben is an employee.

Got myself some fairly nice bits - Sabertooth 990FX R2 etc. - but the motherboard appears to be faulty, grrr. Going to have to get it replaced, least it's under warranty.

2D and 3D development environment: http://www.godotengine.org/wp/ - still under heavy development and its documentation needs work, but free and open source.

Nice!

But I can't open the Demo Game in the editor....
Odd, sounds like a permissions issue. Does it happen with any other project with a Speech directory?

Going with Screen 7, huh? Congrats!

Intriguing... and very nicely done artwork there, too. The demo looks nice, though I've only got into the first two locations so far. Looks like it's going to be a fun game to play!

EXHIBIT #4: RETURN TO ZORK (SECOND HAND COPY)

(I took it out of it's plastic bag).

Sorry Gribbler, I'm being facetious. I DO have games that ONCE came in a box! Believe me! Whether the boxes still exist is another question, but when I get a chance I'll have a good search for them!

Lovely Monkey Island post btw. That's the first time I've seen the 'Dial-a-Pirate' wheel in colour (I'd only ever seen a photocopied version).

And kudos to Babar on the Myst post. I have located my Myst CD, but the bloody box has gone walkabout!  :~(
This is really anoraky, but when and where did you get it? It's Activision-branded (and not Korean/Japanese/console), and at the time they were still (just about) using the Infocom label for adventure games. As far as I recall they never sold the game under their own (Activision) name for MS-DOS or Mac versions in the west. I can make out it says it was part of a bundle - what bundle?

Oh wow. This topic has totally derailed :)

But since you're asking so nicely... there's also IndieDB, GameJolt and TigSource.
Talked to the guys making Secluded? http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=49231.0

Off Phoenix's Facebook page, I think, one of their postings. There was one comment that referred to the voice as "Gabriel with a head cold".

I hope they only improve the visuals and don't change out the voices, etc.  This is the reason why I'll have NOTHING to do with the Gabriel Knight remake; the backgrounds don't even look 'better' than the originals, just 'different'....and the portraits are nowhere near as creative.  And no Tim Curry?  WTF is Jane Jensen thinking?  I can just imagine some weedy, focus-grouped fancy lad saying 'Do you know what Cabrit-Sans-Cor means'....and I want to spit nails.
I think they have TSL's King Graham actor doing Gabriel's voice.

Saw this mentioned on CaptainD's Twitter feed. Didn't realise it was AGS! Nicely done.

Looking good, Calin! Autocomplete would make it great. Stuff like extra syntax highlighting (take a Lua.Call statement for example - perhaps differentiating a bit between the "Lua" and the "Call") would be a cherry on top.

In the BakeSaleII.zip file, in the "THAT DAMN DOG" directory is a zip file, containing the game again.

Not open source anymore?

That is some bullshit.

Oh, it's still open source, they're just selling the compiled binary for the Windows and Mac versions. They have a link to their Github on the page.

Very sneaky, considering not all pixel artists are programmers :<
XChat for Windows did that for a while. Don't think they bother any more.
