OK, I uploaded the two versions of "Tales of Chickenry" from Leon and placed them according to the author's info in those entries.
They're both installer versions, perhaps they need to be extracted & recompressed at some point - my priority for now was to make them available again: [edit: Ah, just saw Peder uploaded the keyboard-controlled version to AGSarchives.com already.]

Differences between those two versions:

"Tales of Chickenry Chapter I" Download: http://205.196.123.196/omuj0jpm4dvg/u50636nmooc0zph/Tales+of+Chickenry+Installer%28all+voices+are+done+by+Yotam+Elal%29.exe

- Additional point & click mouse mode for walking.

- Mouse-over tooltip

- All characters & narrator voiced by Yotam Elal.

[This version's entry won't accept a different screenshot. Wanted to show the 'walk mode mouse cursor' to exemplify the difference to the other version. This time it doesn't seem to be the browser cache - but not that important anyway.]

"Tales of Chickenry" Download: http://205.196.121.43/ouzs0p3aojng/6cuwaifww4c2wc1/Tales_of_Chickenry_Installer.exe

- Keyboard-controlled character movement

- Characters voiced by various actors/ No narrator

Thought I post those if anyone wants to grab those for their database and such...

Nah, those in the AGS archives are already linked to LGM's entries.
Awesome opportunity to reactivate longtime members, ay? Make more games, LGM!!!

(Don't mind my sign-in date, I hang around these forums on and off since fall of 2002 - just
thought I'd rather not mention it to anyone, else they might check my nonexistent credits list!
I know most of you guys from when I was still in persistent lurking mode)

edit:
Those are the games missing from LilGryphMaster's entries:

Crap Quest
Desktop Adventures: The 11 Minute Game
The Alien and the Hick
The Holocaust Museum

It is an honor to have been a part of this.

What do you mean 'have been' - make more games!!! :cheesy:

edit: I just realised you're the author of "Labyrinth", Akumayo - played that game a week ago,
just to take a screenshot for the database and couldn't stop playing - addictive!

My entire entry for Troopers Tech Demo can be deleted, neither me nor anybody I know has the game anymore, there is no image either and it's 7-8 years old and way outdated anyways.
Quote from: Leon on Wed 15/05/2013 12:22:40
The first entry (2 Dennis, 1 Bug) can be deleted as well. According to the MAGS thread of dec 2011, there's never been a successful release of this (controversial) game.
Quote from: Leon on Wed 15/05/2013 18:51:13
According to this thread, 'Gerald Radcliff I' probably never saw the internet either.

Perhaps it'd be best if you would handle all the deletion requests, AGA?

(From some posts prior: I think it goes without saying that we don't edit "AGS Panel Review" entries!)

The above was intended exclusively as info for the AGS Panel that the entry about that corrupt download was outdated.

Received PMs from Creator and Sylvr (I hope you guys don't mind that I post the most releveant parts here.):

Sorry, all those games, including the project files are on an older hard drive which has since died. I'd guess the best solution would be to, if possible, delete the entries off the AGS server.
Quote from: Sylvr on Wed 15/05/2013 13:07:03
[...] they are on my former laptop for which I no longer have the power cord. :( Perhaps it might be better to completely delete the entries?

They both suggested deleting the entries, which would be kind of sad though. (Besides someone might still have a copy somwhere!?)

However, I think I'll rework this a bit, to allow game authors to disable their own games. The game wouldn't be permanently deleted, it would just be made invisible to the game playing public, so the author could go back if they changed their mind.
Maybe we could disable the corresponding entries, rather than deleting them?

The games in question are:
Zelda Dance Remix
Zelda Dance Remix II
Bang Bang You're Dead

Dan Finds His Beard
Happy Birthday, Zemp

I hope I didn't miss any...?

CTRL-SHIFT-R should force a hard refresh in most browsers, no need to go closing windows.
"...Yeah, like DUH-HA, AGA! Like, we didn't, like, already know that!" * mutter, mumble *

Half-Life Lassie?

Yep, we see it! See!?

If that happens I usually just close my browser, when I sign back in I can see the image...

I just noticed that there is an invalid pic for http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1176/.

I tried to replace the image link with the screenshot from the agsarchive, but it would not work. The new link is not stored.
That happened to me before. AGA suggested to clear my browser cache and it worked (i.e. the image was already updated, I just couldn't see it). He was wondering why I tried to upload the same image over and over again... :cheesy:
Not sure if it's the same problem though. (usually happens when an image had been stored locally already)

Awesome, Leon. My PM to Grim about "The Parrot Snatchers" is kind of redundant then.

The broken link list is done. Contacted those authors that were still active in the last 12 - 18 month or so.

I asked them to post the links to their games in this thread too. That way Peder or you could grab some missing ones too.

We should maybe merge both lists and post it in the GAMESEEK thread.
...and quickly too, before anyone manages to put more error reports in there!!! NOOOOOO!

Site & Forum Reports / AGS Games Database

It seems if you search for games in the database and you enter a search term (e.g. "quest") where the search results exceed one page,
you get an "Invalid search!" return upon selecting the 2nd page.

(Just out of curiosity, search results in general are limited to two pages, aren't they? I get two pages of results even if I
search for "the" or "game".)

OK, worked through the Broken Link List bottom-up, from "'Adventure Game' demo" to "Guy Slug: Private Eye".
All games from the bottom up to (and including) "Guy Slug" are either completely unavailable or we need to post this list when it's done somewhere, as quite a few author's are still around, some signed in even today. PMed a few, will PM the rest in this segment tomorrow. If someone else wants to have a go, from "Guy Slug: Private Eye" upwards.... :cheesy:

There's still the other List of UNAVAILABLE GAMES, if anyone finds one of these games on their harddrive(s)...let someone else know!

edit: I'm an idiot, I fixed Guy Slug! (wrong)(therefore it's gone from the list) From "Greg's Mountainous Adventure [MAGS]" on upwards...!

The download of the game "Test Rat Escape" contained a corrupt speech.vox before:

"File downloads, but is corrupt. Marking download as broken."

I added a new download link from the author's website.
It works now and the game can be started. Test Rat Escape still feels somewhat patchy though(Can't even figure out how to get to "walk cursor mode"!), but
it's a MAGS game after all.

Author's website: https://sites.google.com/site/joelphilippage/games

The AGSA database download version is the corrupt version as well.

Download link for "Test Rat Escape" on author's website: http://lifsadventures.googlepages.com/TestRatEscape.rar

The 'AGS Panel Review' comment might have to be adjusted?

EDIT: "Tales of Chikerny" (I think it's supposed to be "Tales of Chickenry" <- according to author page) can be found there as well. But there're two different talkie versions and I'd prefer if someone would update those entries who's more familiar with those two(?!) games...Leon, perhaps?

Link to the author's game page: https://sites.google.com/site/joelphilippage/games

edit2: Nevermind, the other download links seem to be dead.

I just tried and it seems to work fine for me.

Looks funky. Will play it tonight.

Got kind of a double entry:

Old version (had a bug):  "Phoenix1" (Download link broken)

Updated version:            "Phoenix1(newlly uploaded)" with proper working link (for Peder: Not in the AGSarchives.com database)

I suppose that's also why the former is reported as download link broken.
