General Discussion / Re:Occupation

I am a software developer for a medical company  8), but I'm also finishing up my last year (or year and a half) of university.

My goal is to get into the games industry, and eventually start up my own game company. I learned how to make games by myself, and have made lots of 2D games (5 or 6 only heh). I am planning to learn 3D game programming once I get some free time (if ever).

I still think you should get rid of the double-text and the lens flare.

Looks great so far! I know much of your game has changed, but I hope that you still use that title screen because it looks amazing. Also, is there any chance you'll give us a taste of some of your backgrounds? I would love to see them.

 :o

That's gorgeous! Can I ask how the art is being made?

Good luck!

I especially like the raven. I would suggest that you get rid of the lens flare, and keep the background completely black. Don't have Raven Ware written two times like that, only one time. Instead of gray and white, write Raven Ware in red and possibly a different font (but I think it would come out well with the font you're using).

:o Wow, that's absolutely gorgeous bud!!! Wow, wow, wow..

It is incredibly well-done and very professional. It is definitely worth of being an animated movie. It really reminds me of early 90's animated movies and "children movies" (like Roald Dahl's movie adaptations), and that's a good thing!

How long do you think the game will be? and, of course, the inevitable question: when can we approximately expect it?

He kinda reminds me of The Count from Sesame St  ;D

I enjoyed the movie and your idea looks very promising. I think you should try to make the phonebooth as much of a microcosm as you can. And you should have lots of stuff happening outside of the phonebooth, such as people walking by, talking to eachother, etc. If done right this will definitely be a cool game.

Good luck,
Jason

Haha! Those are great Synthetique! How long did each one take??

Great game dude! Awesome dialogue, probably some of the best (if not the best) writing I've seen in an AGS game. I would enjoy the game more if there were animations but I still can't wait for the finished product.

I'm stuck on this one part (probably the last puzzle)... help please!

How do I put the peanuts in the roadie's drink ? He keeps noticing me when I try to put it in.

Completed Game Announcements / Re:Apprentice!

Oh man... that was a damn good game! Great job, you guys are very talented and I can't wait for The Find!

The character art and the background art is utterly beautiful. And, the animations were incredibly smooth and breathtaking. I enjoyed most of the puzzles, but not the cheese one as much.

My only real gripe is that I would've preferred a right-click scheme, but no biggie.

And, when I saw the standing animation :o , I knew that I was in for a treat!

The art and story rocks and the walking animation (facing away from us) is hiliarious! I'm happy about your choice to go with 640x480 resolution, your graphics are very well-done and well-detailed and they will definitely benefit from that resolution.

Wow!!! Beautiful artwork! I can't wait for this game to be released!

Amazing artwork petaglair! Can you share some of the story with us ?

Wow, this game looks sweet, IbeX! Vibrant colors and great character and background design, great job  8)

I like Eye-Eye Productions... but it might be too confusing having Eye-Eye Productions and Evil-Eye Productions (Femme Fatale's).
Anyways, good luck choosing a name.

Hints & Tips / Re:pleurghburg help

You need  to use the unwrapper on the chocolate bar. Then, use the chocolate sauce you purchased from the convenience store on the bar of soap you got from your washroom. Next, use the wrapper you obtained from unwrapping the chocolate bar on the chocolate covered soap.
Finally, give the damn thing to the secretary ;)

Hints & Tips / Re:Pleurghburg SEWER
Mon 16/06/2003 02:28:31
Inside the sewers, keep going right until you find Parker. Behind her you can see 4 valves: Turn the second one from right to left. Go a bit down then go right until you’re at a dead end; hold on to the pipe in the roof to cross to the other side.

That's an excerpt of one of the official (?) Pleurghburg walkthrus.

Wow! Awesome demo eVOLVE.

It was very well done and very thorough. The sound effects were incredible and the animations and art is very nicely done!

I can't wait for the finished game or another demo ;)
