I really like this background, but I agree that it has too much going on. I think you should make unimportant things more dull or less colorful. I think adding fog  or mist in the backgroun would work really well and would help shift the player's attention to the main area.

Anyway, I think this bg has a lot of potential. Keep working on it!

As for crits, everything looks pretty spot on, except for maybe the eyes.

Um.. most of the 9/11 terroists weren't even from Iraq. But good point, I guess that's why we were so diligent in capturing Osama.

I have a beard and am growing out my hair right now.

One day (several months ago), I decided to just let my beard take over, instead of always fighting it. I'm very happy with the results. I don't shape it at all, but, whenever it gets too long, I'll trim it to a number 2 and let it grow out again. It's just as fun growing out the beard as it is having it

Just saw the movie -- have to say it f**king rocks! I plan on seeing it again soon hopefully.

I could care less if it's too one-sided -- f**k that! Bush and co. are evil, and there's not much to that other side. I honestly can't understand anyone who supports or defends Bush, sorry; I can't stand the sight or sound of him at all.

Escape from Monkey Island is the only one available now, but both games were available for 4.99 before.
