Great game, Dave! It was very well-done and the story/dialogue are superb. The letters were a great means of engrossing the player in the game.

I have one suggestion: instead of clicking on a name in the journal and then having to click on the X button, I think it would be nicer if you first click on the name and then move the cursor outside of the journal window to close it.

Can't wait for the next installment!

Cool game, PureGhost! The art and animation are great. The puzzles are quite easy but are definitely fun to go through.

I can't wait for a longer game from you!

Edit:
Oops, forgot to mention: the GUI is excellent! ;)

Awesome game, one of the best AGS games I've played, and to think I almost missed out on this! Luckily, CJ posted it as the GotM.

I was genuinely scared several times. The characters were very well done and all had their own unique personalities. The sound effects were great and added to the spookiness of the game. The puzzles were excellent and logical.

Some nitpicking: I agree with GarageGothic that some of the colors might be too bright. Although spooky, Trilby's car appearing out of nowhere might be too implausible, but some kind of explanation would be nice. The UI wasn't very friendly, so I resorted to using F1-F4 to choose verbs (instead of right clicking).

Although the game was pretty long, I wish it was longer just because it was so enjoyable and captivating. I hope that Yahtzee does decide to make more AGS games.

Pau: the new animation is great, much better than your first attempt. Plus, the animation in his tail is a great touch and looks just right.

The screenshot link didn't work for me, fovmester, but the screens on your site (http://www.freewebs.com/fovmester/Frank.htm) are very good. I'm looking forward to your game!

Are the people walking in the background actually going to be animated? If so, I think that will be very cool. You should also have other animations as well, such as cars moving.

I don't think it's enough just to take pictures because there's not as much work put into it as if you were to draw the BGs. However, I think if you go the extra step to animate the characters then it will be very nice.

Good luck!

;D :o :-\ :-[ :'( <-- the emotional rollercoaster you just put me through, Snake!

I'm very sad to see LE put on hold, as this was one of the games I was most looking forward to, but it's more important for you to sort things out... quickly.

Just kidding =).. take your time and take care of business, we'll all be waiting for this one.

These are all very awesome. My favorite is the second one of the alien with the purple face. I love the pose and, in my opinion, it's very reminiscent of Jack Kirby's style.

The third one's art and coloring are fantastic, but I'm not liking the pose too much. It kinda seems like his gun weighs so much that all of his weight is shifted towards that side of his body and he's using all of his strength, as well as his other hand, to keep the gun up. I hope you get what I mean.

Regardless, these drawings are beautiful. Great job man.

They all rock, but I'm gonna have to go with VGA.

It's not just you. This game was extremely well-done.

The screenshot looks good, nOOwy. I especially like the background. I'm gonna give this game a shot when I get home.

I m working on a technique for use in a game n applied it on the pic as a test.

The colors [in my version] are hardly interesting/inspirering but I thought it might be fun for you to see a very different version of your pic.

I m sorry about the large filesize but the pic couldn t stand much compression.

For the record, no filthy plugins were used.

~100 kb

Very sweet! May I ask how did you achieve the "old comicbook page" effect without the use of plugins?

eric: I love the coloring job, especially the skirt. The skirt looks very dope.

Ahhh, I'm stupid now :(... Remember: don't shoot the messenger!

Rap4Life42o: The game looks interesting. By the way, instead of using bitmaps, you should post images as gifs next time.

Sounds great, SSH. Ancient Egypt is one of the eras that interests me the most. You should try to include some intrigue and mystery.

Spoiler
You have to go the forest screen where there's a grayscale girl. She'll give you the fruit once you give her a rose, or at least I think it was a rose  ???.

It's quite good, agsfellow.

The rightmost side of the desk isn't angled enough to keep with the perspective.

I really like the Aquarium, and you should definitely animate it.

I also liked most of the color choices, they really give the scene a light-hearted feeling.

I thought the graphics were nice as well, but you REALLY should speed up the the walk speed. It was wayyyy too slow. I'm gonna hold off playing it until you speed it up because I would find it more enjoyable.  ;)

Cool game, taryuu. The graphics were quite good, Genbu was very cool, and the girl was definitely hot :P
