Glad to report these debug modes have became officially supported in v3.5.1!

More details at GitHub.

I never knew you could just walk there. 8-0 I just always assumed it was so far you actually needed that caravan to get there.
Not only that but you actually arrive there in 1 day and 1 night (not including random encounters), whereas the caravan takes more then a week (including an ambush but still)...

Is there a way to add a visa to your inventory via cheating, and then show it to the guards?
Actually, yes and no.
Yes, because you can add the visa through a debug mode (although see this). Plus the same debug mode can just teleport you to Rasier without the endless walking in the desert.
No, because the game just freezes once the guards accept your visa. You then have to force close the program.

Remember the Quest for Glory II remake?
It wasn't updated since 2011 (in which they released their v2) and thus will remain forever on AGS v3.2.
But I can just run it using the latest acwin.exe without a scratch.
The only issue is - this game has 2 debug modes, which rely on the existence of 2 files (here is the only source online with them):

  • Qfg2vga.010 does a frog sound when you start the game. You can then use this mode by clicking F10 mid game.
  • Qfg2vga.011 does a sword sound when you start the game. You can then use this mode by clicking F4 mid game.
...But neither F10 nor F4 do anything at all - despite hearing the sounds - when run through acwin.exe and I'd like to ask why?
I don't want being stuck on a decade old AGS version just because of these debug modes and it do present nice options to try.
AGD's forums are abandoned, so I ask here - is there something acwin.exe can do to support this?

Sorry, we're damn busy with real life already to slow down SQ3 remake production like this. But we'll certainly release some media to keep you interested. ;)
As you know, "Space Quest III VGA - Cancelled.".

However, Khaveen did end up releasing a demo, which is hosted on this site.
For one thing, the download links there are broken - I took them from The Internet Archive.
Then it doesn't manage to load on newer Windows. I've found out if you copy acwin.exe from the latest stable AGS version into the demo's folder and run "acwin.exe --setup" from the command line, then run acwin.exe instead of the game's own exe, then it works.
...without sound though.

Can you either remove the demo, state that it doesn't work in newer Windows or fix it via the aforementioned ways?

Thanks!
