The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

Very much enjoyed this game where you play a Detective investigating a homicide.

As it says in the description, there are three possible endings, and at the end of the game you will get a rating out of 10 for how well you have solved the case, if you have solved the case.

It's a short game, a little bit of fun. Puzzles aren't difficult, again it is all about getting top marks and impressing the big boss man :)

The crime scene is indeed influenced by Red Lipstick Murder also the idea for the bar chapter. The rest of the game after the bar was made up as I went along.

Isn't this pretty much exactly the LA Noire case 'The Red Lipstick Murder'?

Clearly it's supposed to resemble LA Noire in gameplay, but you pretty much directly ripped off an entire story line with no credit given.

Really well written short game with adequate pacing and intriguing story. Nice attempt at an LA Noire style crime scene. Only let down is the ripped graphics but a great sophomore attempt

A polished investigation with simple puzzles and a nice atmosphere.
I hope to learn more about Jack in future installments.
