The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"A good first effort by a new game author."

10 people commented on this game (newest first):

This game does a real great job pulling you into its world. There were many times were slightly jumped due to a zombie popping up on screen and trying to get my gun quick enough to kill it.

The only problem I have is that there should be some sort of hotkey to bring out your gun quickly. Or alternatively make the Zombies are a little slower.

But overall a very enjoyable experience.

Hey! Looks good, but i cant continue playing. It's a bug when I use the elevator, a zomby kills me so quick...

I was looking forward to this game since I like space horror games, but I was a little disappointed by the immersion; horrible things happen, but still the main character makes jokes (especially when looking and interacting with objects) which make the whole atmosphere fall a little flat.
It also lacked a little polish, and the voice of Ellie didn't seem right. I liked the two other voices though, although once again it's not perfect.

But the one thing you managed to do is make me want to know what will happen in the next episode, so although I'm a bit harsh, in the end your game was quite good. Hope to see episode 2 someday!

It was fairly buggy and the graphics and voice acting left a little to be desired, but I enjoyed it a lot regardless! I liked the plot and the atmosphere.

I wish I could make games like this. You did an excellent job.

Oh wait, I've just noticed that this is in the 'Short Games' category!

I thought the game was overall good but I thought it was very short with some confusing puzzle ideas.

This game was enjoyable enough.

GOOD:
- Though simple, I liked the graphics.
- The story was good and there was enough detail to explain what was going on.
- The cutscene was good.

BAD:
- I really dislike action scenes in adventure games.
- I found the Captain's voice hard to understand.
- There seems to be a bug; without giving too much away, the first time (and subsequent times) you come out of the control room, it looks like a sprite is misplaced. This doesn't affect the game play at all.

Personal opinion on the game's completion:

The game completed its goals, and taught me a lot about AGS. I admit it is not the most fun gaming experience, but with this experience I can straighten out most of this games issues in the sequel and make that an actually enjoyable game.

Simple game with a nice, enveloping atmosphere.
