I absolutely love this game, and it hasn't had any of the attention it deserves.

Pick of the month is not enough attention?

IndieBoy

Oh I never knew it was pick of the month once. I apologise. Still I think the game should be considered for a nomination. It rocks.

The only person in favour of the mobs seems to be IndieBoy.. but he's scottish so we dont listen to him anyway.

Well, you did won one by a staggering difference. :P

So what's going on with the commercial games "best demo only" problem? You guys are working on it or it will stay the same?

I'm Working on it! The planned solution will allow everyone to nominate those game wherever they want (even if they already have compiled the form).

There is just *one* piece of the puzzle to get in place and then I'll make an announcement.

edit: do you think the thread is more visible as sticky or not?

blueskirt

I find it less visible since I tend to ignore the 4 or 5 sticky posts and jump straight to the new topics whenever I visit the forum. But that's just me.

01/15/10 20:16GMT - The nomination page now allows commercial games to be nominated in other categories other than "Best Demo". (thanks to LimpingFish, CJ and assorted panelists)

If you have submitted your nominations before the form was fixed and want to nominate one of those games in other categories, please send me a Private Message. I'll record the vote manually.

Here you can find a list of all the categories.
I apologise to the developers and to the voters for the inconvenience!

I remember McCharty, Atapi, Necroquest, cosmos quest III, frantic franko demo...

If you people know more titles, post it here, votes are a bit short in that category.

bicilotti

Lads and lasses, a bump to remind you there are only 5 days left to nominate (closing datetime: January 24th, at 23:00GMT!

Tutorial or documentation, voice work and non-adventure categories are a tad short on votes, be sure to check those too!

Remember to check my previous post if you wanted to nominate a commercial game in some categories but could not!

IWWHIIWWHITOMIROTPG - The Game had voices, didn't it? And Blackwell Convergence, if it is eligible as a commercial game.
THE FAR CORNERS OF THE WORLD: Chapter 2 currrently in the works...

Oh yes, I forgot about IWWHIIWWHITOMIROTPG!

As for Blackwell Convergence, no, it hasn't been added to the database, so it is not eligible for this year.

And so... quietly, in the middle of the night the nominations have ended!

Will we learn who the lucky people are right away, or is there some special date for the announcement?

As soon as CJ PMs me the number of voters, I'll make an announcement here with all the nominees. Thanks to everyone who compiled the form!

bicilotti

And that is that! Without further ado,

!

Ali

Lots of nominations for McCharty... and to think my money was on McCarthy.

Sorry for making fun, bicilotti! Great work so far with the 2009 Awards, and well done to all the nominees.
