Ok, I just started and finished playing this one.

Wow. And I mean Wow. And. I. Mean. WOW!

You, sir, are one heck of a storyteller. When I stick to a game all in one sitting, never looking at any hints whatsoever, always striving to do my best and get the best ending despite "it being just a game" (poppycock! Such a fleshed out world, such characters!), and even go through such a puzzle as the measuring device - and actually solving it formyself! - and, after all that hard work, end up feeling like I'm feeling just now... you, sir, are a credit to the game-making world. Your foray into the "serious game" was a complete sucess. The scripting was superb, the interface flawless, the music astoundingly fitting. And with ProgZMax's writing skills to the rescue... well, gentlemen. What a gem we have here.

My hat is off to you! Off, I say!

MadReizka: starter.exe doesn't influence sound in any way. It only runs the game. It works fine on my computer and any problems I don't get myself I can't fix. :/

If you saved a game, then rename the game's executable and try to load those saves, AGS appears to abort.

I suppose it's best to get the version compiled with the new AGS 2.72. It doesn't have a starter.

Afflict: That's still weird. It must be AGS-related as I've done nothing special in the game. If even the other version without the starter doesn't work, then I really don't know.

Rui: Thanks for playing (and liking) my game! And good to hear you also solved the measuring device puzzle by yourself! :D I just wish I could do my own music.

FrancoFranchi

This is best game I've played in 2007! :D

Really loved it - it reminded me a bit of the 'Guilty/Innocent Until Caught' games for some reason I've yet to figure out.  A very nice puzzle-difficulty level (I even liked the water pipe one!)
(I was more bemused about using the hose to fix the pipe - considering you were holding a piece of pipe and a wrench, I was thinking along those lines for far too long!)

And that transparent montage-y effect was incredibly well-done!  I was definitely captivated from beginning to end with this one.

buloght

An awesome game, bernie, was fun to test, and after playing it 3 times through testing I played it again when you released  :D.

Zigmat

Very, very nice game.
Visuals are great, lovely style, and the story just adds up for the depth.

Not too hard actually (except for the level measuring device, which i ended up solving by "brute forcing"). But all in all, a great and very enjoyable game.

1st newspaper: on the shelf in the cellar corridor (needed to progress)
2nd newspaper: 2nd sewer screen
3rd newspaper: In the middle locker

The starter should in theory work. The bug doesn't happen for me, so I can't fix it. Best to get the non-starter version.

Matt won't let me into the locker. How can I distract/convince him?

Make sure Matt faces away when attempting to open the locker.

Zigmat, FrancoFranchi & buloght: Thanks for playing! :D

Snake

All I have to say is, WOW.

I haven't made it very far yet, but I'm loving it so far - freaking amazing.
I love everything about it, dialogues are great, graphics are splendid, plot/story intriguing and overall very professional. Something about it reminds me of BASS (+) and it's got an atmosphere of it's own.
BRILLIANT GAME.

A job well done. It was a real pleasure to play through! I hope you make more games, because I'm dying to get another fix. ;D

Excellent game!

Your reactor concept has the tiny problem of violating the second law of thermodynamics, but very atmospheric none-the-less. (Perhaps a nuclear reaction would have been more believable.)

Puzzles could have been a bit harder, but I liked the trust meter! Graphics were great. Characters had depth. And it actually felt like an adventure.

I can't believe you almost didn't release it!? This is one of the best AGS games I've played yet.

zeblin

I love this game so far but every time I go to save it and quit the game, the save game is gone and I have to start all over again.

Stupot

Thats odd.. I must admit I found the Save/load turnout a bit confusing at first, but once I got my head round it, i thought it was a nice change..  I can't think what might be going wrong in your case Zeb... have you checked that the game file is in the same folder as the Savegames?... Thats the nearest I can come to a reason?

Thanks Stupot, I'll see if that helps...

Tartalo

I just played this game: I couldn't move from my chair until I finished it.

It's unusual to see Gay characters in games (in fact, it's quite common to see stupid homophobic comments), it was about time to see some normality in games too.

Anyway, you know about Matt's preferences since the very beginning, it appears in more than one dialog, and it can affect the ending of the game. After giving so much importance to it, I was expecting the main character going out of the locker or something like that, really, but no one else talks about sex anymore, and at the end it seems to be as important in the main story as a single silly comment to the security guard. Did I miss something?

Besides, while the right answers to Matt or the security guard are quite important, it seems you have no control in what your character will call the girl, and the sarcasm fight doesn't affect the game. This seems unbalanced to me, If there's a message about respect in this game (that even affects humor), shouldn't this respect be for everyone?

Even with these small story details that confused me, an excellent game.

Queen Kara

I haven't finished but I already love this game. I agree though that if a moralistic message about respect is part of the "purpose" of the game, it seems uneven because of calling Irene princess and such when he's supposed to be respectful towards her.
Another thing that has me scratching my head is why some things LOWER trust rather than gain it. You'd think that letting somebody know that everybody knows about something "embarrassing" would raise trust plus asking for permission to do something would raise trust, not lower it.
Klaatu Verata Niktu?

JayBTV

Just completed this game (finally w/ the best ending - which was well worth it).  Wanted to post and say it's one of the best AGS games I've played.

Thanks a lot for your efforts on this one!!!

(BTW was there a use for the rag?)

Lady Luck

Reactor 09 is easily one of the best AGS games ive ever played ;D from start to finish (twice to get the best ending :P) in one night.  The idea of Matt's "trust level" was just so original and the dialogues added depth to the characters.
Great game :) would love to see a sequel  ;)
Simple. Easy to remember.

Galen

Ah. I remember this, absolutely wonderful game and I love the plot.

Dualnames

Strangely.,, I've been playing this today.. then suddenly a bumb comes on the thread... Damn you Santa..
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Hello, you may or may not know this, but the link doesn't work. Firefox just says it can't find it. I have tried downloading from other sources, they all lead back to the same site. I tried the mirror, it didn't work either. Any help fellows?
