The being known as my sister is getting Pirates of the Carribean on DVD. However, because I enjoy being sadistic about her Christmas presents, she has to follow a treasure map to find it.

My parents are getting a coupon to have their old vinyl albums burned onto these babies. Please note that they are not actually babies. They are CD's.

I really suck at finding presents for people. My dad is getting a gift certificate for a record store (also sells movies), the last time I got him a DVD he didn't touch it for 2 years. I am getting my mom these porcelain dolls called Dreamsicles, and my sister wants a reggae CD (blech). While in New York, I got my friend Todd some firefighter-related memorabilia, since he's a firefigter and all, and I forgot about his girlfriend. As for my girlfriend...since she doesn't exist I decided against getting her anything.

I got these two tea cups and $40 or so worth of strange teas for this girl I like. She likes to drink tea. I'm wrapping it up into a gift basket. There's also this little book of quotes from women, because she likes quotes. I was going to get her a novel because she likes to read, but I didn't know which one.

I got my parents Uru. Mwuahaha. It's actually for me. They like adventure games though. I bought Syberia a while ago, and they both played it through and I only played about half of it. Uru won't run on my dad's computer though. Unless he turns the graphics way down. This is the first year I actually bought my parents anything using my own money. Most years I didn't get them anything, or they gave me money and told me exactly what to get.

I didn't get my sister anything... I might. I don't know.

I didn't get my other friends anything. Ehh... I'm a horrible person. Haha.

I already got my present. My main one. A Canon PowerShot A80 digital camera. I love it.

I have to say, christmas shopping is like the most stressful experience there is. I mean, I don't mind moving house or any of that, but put my in a shopping centre and tell me to get stuff for christmas, and I'm reduced to a quivering wreck.

Of course, what I meant to say was that I don't believe in the commercial side of christmas - it should just be about meeting friends and family and getting drunk.

I can be forgiven for not buying exceptional presents for everyone this year because my bank account is still recovering.
Of course, that didn't stop me from spending MUCH more than I intended.

For my Sister, who watches too much cable TV,
The 'Adams family values' DVD.
For James, who often has the film version on,
'Nightmare before Christmas', the book by Tim Burton.
For Chris, a fan of Johnny Vegas and co.,
A 'Monkey' stuffed toy, to stick on his window.
For my parents, I trued to find gifts, but to no avail,
But I have a candle and Monthy Python scripts, if all else fails.

I currently do not have a cent in my name. I just began to teach my sisters how to play the piano. I don't get paid until the end of the month. Two sessions each week for each sister all month long. $40 a month.

I do support Buy Nothing Day ( http://adbusters.org or http://www.buynothingday.co.uk/ ). I also support Buy Nothing Christmas ( http://www.buynothingchristmas.org/ ). Seriously, Christmas is getting more and more materialistic. Unfortunately, two people from school got me presents (soap and a calligraphy set). So, I ended up giving them listening CDs (The King of Torts) and a book (Dracula). The book I had bought to read for myself later on and the CDs were won by my dear mother (so I really didn't spend any more money). I really wish they would have returned their presents and given the money to someone else. I tried to get them to, but they would not. I guess I'll have to go sell them and give the money to the orphanage myself.

I just found out I'm getting paid early and extra so I'll be blowing about $500 more dollars on friends & family. I couldn't care less if I get anything for Christmas but I dig giving presents, particularly ones that I've had some personal input in. As for my gay lover? He's not getting sh*t. Refuses to give a reach-around, the bastard.

Work gave me my Christmas present: A card with a note that a donation was made in my name to some charity or other, and a Creative Nomad Muvo Mp3-player/USB-drive with company logo printed on it by Creative.
