Drawing Characters.

Sewer Agent

I find the whole point of drawing characters frame by frame very time consuming and hard. I was wondering if I am making the characters wrongly or if anyone could give me any tips on how to make people look like they are walking.

This IS the Critics Lounge. If you post your walkcycles we can help you better them.  Keep in mind a lot of it is practice. You can't just say to yourself that you're gonna make the best walkcycle in the world and do it. There's a lot of try and retry.

Start out with low detail characters until you feel comfortable, then work your way up.  It is much easier to animate a character drawn in 5-6 colors than it is one made with 24.  Keep shading to a minimum, the size of the character reasonable, and you should be fine.
