For all you people on YouTube who are into gaming, I have sad news.

It had come to my attention yesterday that Justin Carmical (known on YouTube as "JewWario") had taken his own life.

A great and funny guy gone so soon... and in such a way too.

For those in a giving spirit, donations to his family can be made here: http://www.gofundme.com/6groao

But prayers for his family are ALWAYS welcome.

Here's to you, JewWario... you'll be deeply missed.  :~(

I looked him up and it's hard not to feel sorry for him... but mostly for his wife who "talked to him through the door while he shot himself dead in the bathroom"... Can you even imagine that?

It's also nice to see the support of YouTube community. Yes, it's too late and they can't bring him back, but the number of tributes is astonishing and it shows people do care.

I'm sorry the guy killed himself, but that adds an extra layer of WTF on top of it.

Bulbapuck

I heard about this, very sad news.

I've been a fan of his for quite a while, so I couldn't quite believe it. It was all so unexpected and sudden. rest in piece.

Big fan of TGWTG and Channel Awesome. I didn't see many of JewWario's videos, but I did enjoy what I saw.

But my God. When I heard what happened I hugged my daughter a little tighter. Depression can strike at the hearts of the very best of us.

I've been a huge fan of Channel Awesome for years, it's saddening and horrifying to hear this. My thoughts go out to his wife and the CA team. :(
If you want to know the Bible's contents, just watch Lord of the Rings or listen to the last 8 Blind Guardian albums. It's pretty much the same thing.

Snake

I heard about this on YouTube through Cornshaq's video. I hadn't heard of him before then, but watched a few of his videos afterwards. A pretty creative and funny guy he was. RIP
Grim: "You're making me want to quit smoking... stop it!;)"
miguel: "I second Grim, stop this nonsense! I love my cigarettes!"

So what is the donation for other than to promote this to happen more often? I'm serious. Not only are there hundreds of youtube commemoration videos, there's now a donation for the family? If suicide was something I had been feeling, this pleasant outcome can only strengthen my determination. :-\

I too frowned a bit when I saw this donation thingie... I mean if someone has been fighting for a cause, it's understandable to want to donate to this cause, or I guess if they're extremely poor you could give to charity in their name... But to simply put up a donation button because he was well known feels a bit... I don't know, weird.

I was under the impression the donation was for a plane ticket, so his biggest fan could attend the funeral. It might have turned into something else later, though... I don't know.
