Which one do you like more?? the right one is supposed to be the 'correct', but i also like the other one, what do you think?? critics or comments??
And now that i´m here:
how about this animation?? is it clear what is happening?? any critics??
thanks in advance! :)

Jimi

Its wicked! I prefer the second one.

(can you help me with my wlking animation?)

I prefer the second one too. The whole style reminds me a lot of Lucasart's games.

About the second ani, I'm not sure what is happening. Are his pants being pulled up too high or something?

Jimi

I think he's being given a wedgie

Flippy_D

Very nice. Use the right hand one, it's got the edge.

Also, it's pretty clear what's going on.... just not clear why. Nice grin. There's a stray pixel on his head though when it lowers.

Trapezoid

I think I prefer the first walk animation... They're both almost identical, but I think the first one moves a little smoother (watch the hand)

1) I prefer the second walk animation. Nothing wrong with the other one though.

2) I recognized the wedgie, but I would suggest you have it jerk more i.e. more frames near the end of the animation or something. Now it looks like his underwear just slides/floats upwards.
One question: How is he being wedgied (how the hell do you spell that?) from the front?

3) Minor suggestion, remove one pixel from the front of his neck to give him both a cool collar and a jaw line. I think his neck looks fat right now.

4) LOVE the style. Has a whole Indy feel to it.

MrColossal

i like the first

for some reason i see it having more life than the other

dydo, on your third point, the guy is a little hefty so i think his neck is fine

the second animation i guess isn't a wedgie because he feels no pain and the pants unbutton themselves

it's more of a visual gag i see, the main character probably insults or makes fun of someone elses clothing and then the game shows us what he is wearing and he feels embarassed

am i close?

also with the walk anim, it looks like the arm farthest from us is always in front of him, cause we never see it appear behind his body, am i alone on this?

You're right, I think, I should have looked better. In that case, should his underwear raise to that level? It seems a little TOO high.

Those are very cool artwork and animation! I like the first walk better, much smoother.

Flippy_D

The first walk looks like he's skipping..... the arm jerks back and the swing is a little too fast. The second is much more realistic. Try viewing them seperately from each other and you'll see.
They're both nice, but the second one is much better, technically.

Assuming you're right, I would've just dropped his pants (Guybrush style).

Anyway, I can't really choose between the two walking cycles, they both look fine to me. I'm sure you wouldn't even notice the difference in-game.

Great characters! Great animation! Just great all round!

Pessi

Those are all professional quality. Really, REALLY great work, Proskrito!

I like the second walk cycle better. The first one seems like the guy is half-jogging.

I agree with Eric, the farthermost arm does look a bit weird because it isn't seen on the left. Perhaps you could show it just for a pixel or two... I think because of perspective it wouldn't be seen as much as the nearest arm on the left though. But perhaps just a bit.

It was pretty obvious for me what happened in the third animation. And I like that animation a lot!

Proskrito

Thanks, after reading your posts, i trust you and i´ll go with the second one.
And i have added the arm, as MrColossal and Pessi said. (thanks, i forgot that :))

Hope it´s finished now!
QuoteAre his pants being pulled up too high or something?
Yes, that was it!  ;D I just was not sure because when i asked my sister (the only one i asked about it) she didnt know what was happening. (and yes, they're being pulled too high, as high as it can. thats the armpits :))
And, what does this mean??:
QuoteI think he's being given a wedgie
My english is poor, and i can hardly understand anything apart from "to be" verb and "up","down","green" and those sesame street words. :-\

Flippy_D

A wedie is when someone pulls your underwear up. Never been done to me personally though. One question though - why does the fly unzip?

I'm glad you went with the second one.

Archangel (aka SoupDragon)

A wedgie is when someone grabs someone's underpants from behind and pulls them up as far as they can. It's a painful school ritual.

if his pants are being pulled up, then who is pulling them up? as his arms or hands are not moving and there are no arms coming over his shoulders or his waist.
