There was a company doing the same thing a few years ago.  However, it quickly went bust, and everyone who had a domain permanently lost ownership of it.  So don't register anything you're not willing to potentially lose (e.g. your name!)

Image upload has been offline for a while.  I need to get around to fixing that.

Hey cat, I think you got lost.  Tower Bridge and the monument aren't anywhere on the way from St Paul's to the venue...  Although of course they aren't far away if you deliberately visited them.

There are approximately infinity bus lines going past Liverpool Street anyway, you wouldn't necessarily have to walk.

It's in a university, near Liverpool Street.  You're looking at a hundred minimum, unless you get some crazy last minute deal.  I think some people found a reasonably nearby hostel last year though.  cat?

I'd love to see that collection of yours!

Doesn't quite compare to yours, but: http://www.agagames.com/advlist.php (formatting is broken, as I haven't update it in years).  Quite a few of them are copies, as you will see.  I gave up trying to find original boxed versions of some of them, since I wasn't willing to pay millions of pounds for them!

Oh, by the way, I sent an email a while ago about checking availability, but the events woman won't be able to let me know until Friday at earliest.
#1289
Nope!  There is no option to do that.

Fine, I put the birthdays back! (roll)

Another forum would be a waste of space for a feature that probably won't be used that often.  I enabled the option to post events without having to link to a post though.  Also, birthdays and public holidays will only show on the board index, not on the calendar itself.

In the west we are rather more exacting.  For instance, we don't let hippos teach our children; there's a strict humans only policy here.

The OP is banned, by the way.

Not if you disable JavaScript, it can't!

The registration quiz should really be completely rewritten.  I did modify it a bit when I updated the forums a while ago, but it's still not that accurate or appropriate.  I'll look to at least add something about multiple accounts.

QuoteMy time at a bartender

Has your girlfriend discussed all the time she spent at this bartender person?

Aside from that, it looks pretty good.  It's hard to give specific feedback though, given I don't know anything about your girlfriend, so it's hard to know what else she could possibly include.  Would be better to get close friends and family to give advice really.

I think if there are comments about viruses, it's the game author's responsibility to reply assuring people this was a false positive.  I think it's reasonable enough for someone to post saying they downloaded something that appears to be a virus; they're doing the community a service if they're making people aware of a genuine virus, but as long as the author can ensure that's not really the case then there's no harm done.

Stroumf downloaded three of the games they rated.  Although the IP logging has only actually been in place for a few weeks, so it's possible they downloaded the other games a while ago, and didn't get around to rating until now.

Stroumf and springthoughts are in completely different countries, so them being the same person seems unlikely.

stroumf has actually made an equal number of negative and non negative comments: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/recentcomments/.  Do you really think this is inappropriate?  Should people only give positive comments?  Admittedly the negative comments aren't too politely worded, but they're not that harsh.

agsver was set as a VARCHAR(10) type, which meant they were being truncated to ten characters.  I expanded it to 20 characters, so it should be fine in future.  Spaces should be preserved, as they are with in the above example.  Maybe you have to pass the info in a certain way?
