If you want I can give you a page that will return a user's avatar URL from the name, if you wanted to use people's actual forums avatars.  No idea if that's technically feasible though?

Voting page is fixed.

when adding a comment on a game in the DB you get redirected to the game page afterwards again. When deleting a comment you are stuck on that "comment deleted" page. I'd prefer to get redirected to the game page again as it is common (for me at least) to delete a comment and just after that add another comments with typos corrected and more info or whatelse I want to edit.

Can we have spoiler tags to hide some text in game comments?

Both should work now.  Use
text
to add a spoiler to game descriptions or comments.

Cairns is an expensive connecting flight (or loooong drive) from Brisbane for those of us flying from abroad. Perhaps we'd be better looking at places with good transport links too?  Personally I'm not too fussed about the weather either way!

Well, well, well. Mr. Jones emerges.

Emerges / is dragged to the surface by me.

I only had a very quick look for housing options, based on Layabout's suggestions.  Of course anyone is welcome to chip in with anywhere that looks suitable (and houses 16+ people!).

I think Saturday 05 - Saturday 12 October sounds like a good option.  Of course I'd assume people will want to do more stuff in their own groups afterwards, given the travel distance involved for most of us.

Mackay doesn't have any large rentals available.  Nor does Townville, which seems to be the largest place between Cains and Mackay?  Got a couple of nice looking options for Cairns at least:

The first looks nicer to me!

What about the very end of August, or start of October?  October seems to be about 10-15% cheaper for flights, although a quick search shows rental prices to be the same either way.  I've also found a few big (15+) houses going for about £150 per person (!!) for a week.

It (the OK button) originally popped up on the left un-styled for me. Had to CTRL F5 and it appeared in the middle and styled for me to be able to click it.

The styling depends on new CSS, so probably you needed to hard refresh for it to be loaded. Until that only the PHP, which isn't cached, would be loaded.

There's plenty of stuff on this site that won't work if you block scripts, that included.  With scripts enabled it should work on both the forums and the main site.  If it doesn't with scripts enabled, and you can reproduce it, please let me know.

Now I'm not saying we should rent an island in the Great Barrier Reef for Mittens... but we can rent an island... http://www.pumpkinisland.com.au/

Oooh, that looks nice! It's a bit pricey for 15-ish people, but if we could somehow round up (or even 20-some) I would be all for it.

At 15-ish people it looks like it comes out at around $130 Australian dollar per day... That's what I pay for a double room in an average motel in a non-metropolitan area in Australia anyway.

Australian prices are extremely over-inflated compared to many countries and those island prices are incredibly cheap considering that lunch in a decent restaurant in Sydney will cost about $40-$50.

Mittens rentals are always incredibly cheap per person; you're talking a week's sleep in semi luxurious accommodation (sometimes with pools and hot tubs) for the cost of two or three nights in a mediocre hotel.

First of all, I never noticed when this feature appeared, but I'd like to give my big thanks to whoever implemented autocomplete in the game search :)

Now, this is not really a "bug" report, but I was wondering if it's possible to make this autocomplete a little bit different from surrounding text, like draw it on darker background?

The technical side of the AGS site and forums is all me!  I've darkened the background a bit.  Can't go too dark though, or it'd clash with the rest of the page style.

I'd be good to meet during my vacation in July, but we would need something drivable from Ottawa, Canada.  :embarrassed: Were you thinking Canada/US? Europe somewhere? I never attended a Mittens, but always wanted to give it a go!

'Grown up' Mittens is likely to be Australia this year. This thread is about a more family friendly spin off.

Sorry about this.

I think I've fixed any potential issues with storing the data now.  Just to check though, were you trying to enter something in the Games in Production thread ID field?  If so, what?  Other people have added games recently, so trying to work out what's different in your case!

That was a technical error, which isn't expected to be visible to users.  It should work for you now.  I'll work on improving the input validation.

Sorry about that, deployment mishap.  That'll teach me not to do it right before going to bed at the end of a long day.

Yeah, thanks for all the help with hosting AGS stuff.  You'll definitely be back (no one ever leaves for long...), so see you then!

Mittens 2019 will be at this place near Cairns, Australia, from 05 - 12 October!

It's that time of year again!

At last Mittens it seems there was more interest than ever in doing it in Australia. No time or location in mind yet, but would enough people be interested?
