The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

"Hide" is a 24 hour Game Jam project created by Catpunter for the AGS forums that expanded long beyond 24 hours into a full weeks worth of work.

You play as a young woman Olivia who finds herself in an abandoned hunter's hut trying to trap, and kill, a werewolf that has been gorging on villagers from nearby towns. You only have one chance tonight, so don't waste it.

-Item puzzle based -Multiple endings -Meant to be replayed several times to get different endings

Known Issues: -Music restarts on game over despite turning it off -Ending title card graphics missing -Revolver can't be used on bullet to load it -Sound effects missing -May crash on first start up if you haven't set the config file.

Nice short game where you have to plan how to take down a werewolf.

Great little game, well thought-out and executed.
It creates a compelling experience, despite its minimalist nature.

I generally dislike dead ends but not here. They force you to plan your actions and they don't punish you excessively since the game is very short.

This is a really well thought out game, with several different endings which all push you towards the final goal. The music and graphics work well to create a foreboding atmosphere and the puzzles are simple, yet not obviously so. A really great little game.
