The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Lately, Jacob has been having terrible nightmares. Nightmares that wake him up in cold sweats. Lucky for him, they are only dreams. And when he awakes, everything is back to normal. Atleast

until he and his girlfriend, April, take a long trip. Then, his nightmares start to shift into reality, and Jacob must figure out what is going on before its too late.

This is my first game. Its a short game for Halloween & MAGS: Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

A bad attempt at scare. The game world lacks content, so I never got to feel in the shoes of the protagonist, and thus the ending felt meaningless.

Not only the game has no puzzles, but in also looking at things gives no feedback (except in one single place) and the talk icon is totally unnecessary (it only is needed once and you only get one dialogue option anyway).

It's a decent attempt for a first game and shows that there is a lot of potential and ideas, but I did not enjoy it.

The idea is a little bit a cliché, and most importantly no puzzles at all.
Nevertheless the effort is remarkable and the visual style intriguing, so I hope we will hear soon a better developed Jacob story

Boring... no puzzles, just dialogue - weak storyline.
Sometimes it is very difficult to change rooms.
