The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

A Shakespearean adventure! Watch Oceanspirit Dennis and his companions Ray and Mr. Cheeses as they stumble through the plot of Hamlet, order too much room service, and make a general mess out of Denmark. As befits the Oceanspirit Dennis series, there are lots of combat scenes with a special rune engine, and as befits a Shakespearean tragedy, most of the cast dies like mayflies. With dialogue written by The Bard himself, how can you resist a game like this?

Featuring high resolution graphics; innovative combat system; lots of Shakepeare quotes and a cute mouse.

1 people commented on this game (newest first):

The artwork is not bad and I liked the ideas - using Shakespeare, a play, etc.

However, the combat system is very frustrating. Patterns that don't match the diagrams work, for some reason. The opponents cast multiple 'runes' at the same time and can heal themselves almost instantly.

I got through the first couple of battles but the next one was just too difficult and I gave up.

This game could be fun if it were re-worked. It needs better dialogue, a new combat system and even though I didn't finish it, I suspect it could use better puzzles.
