Apparently WHAM can process multi-step commands to speed things along:

>> Search crates, take bible, appropriate crucifix

miguel

So, crates they are. Sad. A table cloth would be useful if we have to dine out there in the cold under the stars.
I imagine the cloth nicely placed on a grassy knoll, 3 cans of assorted fish forming a triangle of perfect proportions, 3 lit candles forming another triangle only this time it's opposing the other thus creating a diamond shape area where, lit in all its glory, we would place The Lamp!

>smash crates

Working on a RON game!!!!!

WHAM

> Search crates

You check out the crates underneath the makeshift altar, and move the candles and the crusifix onto the table to make more room.
You find that the crates are full of dried foodstuffs and canned food. One of them also contains several canteens full of water.

> Take bible

You stuff the bible into your rucksack, which is getting rather full.
You would be hard-pressed to fit another book, or similiar sized item, in there.

> Appropriate crucifix

You do not need to use the word "appropriate" in this game.

if there is no more space in the backpack
> tie canteen to backpack

Ghost

> taste water

Could give us a hint how long the stuff'S been stored there. I mean, how long is everyone gone, possibly lost in the deserts without their canteens.

selmiak

you mean we slept longer than just one night until we found out that all our comrades are gone?

Ghost

We just spend over a month real-time contemplating a lamp! Who knows how time is processed in this game? Maybe we are already dehydrating and phantasizing!
Seriously, in these games hard facts are footholds, and I intend to give us one that could support Bigfoot!

Oh yeah we still haven't summoned the magical WHAM-genie for our 3 wishes!

>rub lamp

<ProgZMax> I got an idea - I reached in my pocket and pulled out my Galen. <timofonic2> Maybe I'm a bit gay, enough for do multitask and being romantical

OMG we forgot to PEE!

I say we drink as much water as we can right now, just to hyper-hydrate ourselves.  It works for me before a hockey game, so the same should hold true for crossing the desert, since they are more or less the same thing.  And maybe we should just rip out the one bible passage, just to save room?  Who's feeling irreverent?

>> Pee, then drink a couple canteens worth of water, then rip out Job 4.  Then do pee-pee dance, but don't let any more fluid go no matter what!

NightHawk

>drink a canteen of water and take as many canteens as we can tie on our rucksack.

miguel

Before we leave this tent we should prepare ourselves for the desert. Probably we'll be hunting desert animals like lizards, bugs and snakes.
I don't know about you but I sure don't like my snakes rare. We should be prepared to cook food when we are out there.

>carry it like a man, think about dear Gretel and Helga.

You must be kidding :( no one would be able to carry that thing tied to backpack, it might weight a lot.

There's already one canteen tied to the backpack.

damned, you are right, but according to the inventory it is only half full, so we should drink as much as we can get now and also take at least a full one with us. Or fill it into our own canteen to avoid deseases. And also food. And also no Stove and no Helga and Gretel, sorry miguel. We can probably cook with the heat of the sun and a mirror or so. Or et it raw, I mean I don't have to bite into it but our friend here has to...

Ghost

selmiak, that's one wicked avatar text you got there. My brain is now exercised and my neck went *snap*

Also, why are people always prepared to eat snakes in the desert? There's plenty of alternatives, from the rare and elusive turtle to the common antlion queen, which is considered quite a delikatesse, full of nutritiou...

I'll stop now. But +1 on the drinking.

WHAM

Sorry guys,

I've been playing TONS of Planetside 2 for the last week and just haven't had time to do much else.
I'll try to post an update tonight to keep Afrika Korps alive.

> Drink some water and feel better

You take a gulp of water out of the canteen strapped to your backpack. You mouth no longer feels dry, but try as you might you don't really feel too good. Might be that you are still just a little sleepy, though.
The canteen is now empty, so you place the empty canteen back in the box with the others.

> Take canteen and tie it to backpack

You take a new canteen and use it to replace the one you just emptied.
To be safe, you pick up another one and strap it to your rucksack as well.
You are now at the limit of your carrying capacity, any more and you will become overburdened.
