Yufster, you're normal and I'm not.
Canine teeth are NOT for biting meat/flesh and humans are NOT carnivores.

People who don't eat meat scare me.

Boo!

I'm a vegetarian, but If I did eat meat I wouldn't.

...If you see what I mean...

Many animals are farmed in a way that is unhealthy for the animals and for the people eating the meat at the end of the line.

At the moment I'm trying to find kinder/healthier alternatives to cows' milk (which I hate anyway) and chicken's eggs. I've heard ducks have to be happy to lay eggs, maybe I should eat duck eggs.

I just had ham, egg and chips. It was nice.

There are plenty of organic milks, free-range egss, etc. available if you're worried about hhow the animals are treated. I blame Disney for the rise in vegetarianism: all those cute cows, sheep, etc. COW AND SHEEP ARE NOT CUTE!

No doubt there will be a decline in fish consumption since Finding Nemo. That's actually a good thing given the terrible overfisihing that has been going on since they invented trawling. And you can get the Omega-3s you need from Walnuts....

Ali, I would recommend soy milk.
I used to drink lots of that when I was vegan.
And soy cheese.
Man, those things taste better than real milk and cheese.
I should go back to veganism.

You're right! My family farm sheep in NW Scotland. The main reason I don't eat them is I'm afraid of what they might do if they found out...

Actually pet lambs are pretty cure, but more encrusted with poo than their cartoon counterparts.

Thanks for the food tips SSH and Highwaygal.

Do you get all your dietry advice from webcomic sites?

I've read various sources and spoken with dieticians -- some say we have teeth like a carnivore, some say we have teeth like a herbivore.

So what are we?

Who cares? I don't see why we should comform to our biological upbringing. Part of being human is to rise above that and make our own choices. So, whether or not we have carnivore or herbivore teeth, it's up to us to make our own decisions as to what we want to eat. And I don't think any scientific proof is going to make me eat less meat.

However, if my doctor says my arteries are clogged... :)

Are there any fructarians here, like in Notting Hill? "We only eat fruit that has naturally fallen from the tree" "So.... these carrots?" "Brutally murdered, yes"  ;D

Timosity

I just read this thread and thought how it turned into what it is.

Anyway, I eat most things, plant or animal.

Chemically they all mix iin with each other, animal decomposion and excretion helps plants to grow and the plants contain minerals from animals, so vegetarians eat nutrients from flesh anyway. and its the same as plants helping animals to grow.

So when it comes down to it, if you're happy with what you're eating, eat it, if not don't.

as mentioed about hormones with animal products, the same thing happens with plant products,

it's probably best to grow organic veges and eat your pets but it's not practical for everyone. this worlds economy revolves around greed, so growing bigger plants and animals quicker, puts faster money in pockets.

I wonder if any of these things assist athlete's without directly taking drugs?

I only have one canine tooth. The other one never grew in.
So I'm having a bloody difficult time trying to decide whether I'm a carnivore or not.

I used to be a vegetarian. I was raised that way. Awhile back, though, I started wondering why I was a vegetarian. I failed to think of an answer, so I started eating meat.

EDIT:
Oh, and I just remembered this Vice City quote:
"We have canines and bicuspids for a reason. To open packages of potato chips."
