About this game
A short game made for the second One Room One Week Competition. Features: - LOTS of animations! - ONE playable room! - Well, that's pretty much everything...4 people commented on this game (newest first):
I like how you can only pick things up when you need them,..as it would be in real life,..and why not? Considering there is only 1 room.
An enjoyable short game. :)
Although my expectation initially made the game seem weak, once I accepted it for what it was meant to be I had a great half hour of gameplay. Notably, the game has one of the funniest moments I have seen in an AGs game (SPOILER: I refer to when the chandelier comes crashing down. Great bit of slapstick with perfect sound affects SPOILER END).
The graphics were nice, especially the smoothly animated real life main character. One thing that annoyed me was the games insistence that you try every possible thing before it allowed you to pick up every item. Still, once I had worked out this was the case it was only a minor hinderance.
All in all, Alone in the Night is a slightly cliched but fun little game that I'd recommend giving a try if you've got a spare half hour
