The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

The Devil's Teeth
As you enjoy a twilight pipe by the sea wall, you watch the surf break over the treacherous submerged rocks known as the Devil's Teeth.
You are looking forward to batoning-down the hatches and spending the evening beside your hearth with a warming tot of rum.
However, as a tea clipper hoves into view over the horizon, your evening is about to take a very different turn...

AGS Panel Review

"Very well done historical game. While limited to a few locations, there is a lot of naval-themed puzzles crammed in, which improves the atmosphere a lot."

6 people commented on this game (newest first):

You must warn a ship that needs to alter its route or it will hit the rocks.
Great marine atmosphere and nice graphics as usual on GOC games. Historical references and interesting puzzles. Great small game.

Lots of mostly inventory based puzzles that make sense. The graphics are good and being able to take a peak in all books was nice. I liked the atmosphere throughout the game.

This was a good fun short game. The puzzles were difficult, but the solutions all made perfect sense. The animations when you finally get things solved were rewarding, and the setting felt real and detailed. Good sound effects as well. Recommended.

Excellent game, well thought out puzzles! One of them had me pulling my hair for a bit until i realized that i hadn't been paying attention, those "Aha!"-moments are some of the best in adventure gaming.

Seeing the excellent quality of your output, i really hope that GOC Games has a medium/full-length title in the works!

I really liked the puzzles and how they were integrated into the story/location. Another strong short game from this author. Recommended!
