King's Quest II was the sequel to the original King's Quest game designed by Roberta Williams. Several people were discontented with this sequel, believing the puzzles were illogical, and the storyline was too sparse. The King's Quest II: Romancing the Stones remake includes additional storyline, puzzles, enhanced artwork, digital music, lip-synced character speech portraits, fully narrated audio track (over 3,800 lines), atmosphere, depth, and more -- basically, the whole nine yards!

AGS Panel Review
"Sierra's KQ2 was rather lacking, but this remake brings it up to date with new graphics, an original soundtrack, and a rewritten plot and puzzles that make for a very enjoyable gaming experience."

Now I'm afraid to go play the original because I know it's going to be worse!
The story is very well written with very interesting characters. I can't say that I was that impressed with the introduction, as it was a bit slow and rather sappy, but the rest of the game was great. The 3-D sequence during the introduction was good. All the game graphics were good. The music was very good at setting the moods and I thought the voice acting was good. Some of it was very good. The puzzles were mostly logical and, most of the time I didn't have too much problem with them. And often there was more than one way to solve them. Do save often since, being based on a Sierra game, there are plenty of ways to die. There are quite a few entertaining easter eggs in the game also. They should be especially amusing to those who are familiar with the old Sierra adventure games.
Great game. Play it!
this quest makes it look like there is still hope for adventuregames to be grate.
I give it four thumbs up
