About this game"A Son of Xenon" is a non-profit fan-made adventure game and prequel to Space Quest.
It has a similar graphics style to Space Quest III (or Police Quest 2 or Larry 2) meaning 320x200 EGA graphics with a lot of dithering effects; It is icon controlled and features a high quality original score.
The story opens on Roger’s home planet (shortly before Space Quest I) where we meet a hard-working and intelligent young Roger Wilco. A true son of Xenon. As the game progresses, we will learn how he became the unmotivated janitorial professional we all know and love. Also the sun is dying. It's a whole thing.

I recorded a longplay with some deaths included :)
I think this game captures the essence of Space Quest beautifully. And I very much appreciated the subtle humour throughout. (I think some games can go OTT on the humour-front). Throw in the graphics, the music, the aliens and robots, not to mention various character animations and close-ups, all leading to a very satisfying experience. I cannot wait to see another instalment.
